Actually it is ..He has all the paperwork documented to the car that it was put on by the dealer...Saleen offered them extra...Believe me this car is 100% on the money...I know later yrs offered the vortech but in the early yrs it was and add on opition by saleen not many people knew that the car already was $30k new...then add that...LOL...i guess not to many people bought them...The car is signed by Steve saleen himself...too...LOL....Its a nice car really nice i would drive it too on nice days im trying to get him to use it more...Or least let me take it out

Does he have other toy cars? If I had money coming out of my ears, I'd drive the thing maybe a couple times a year, car show cruises and parades and stuff. I'd have other toy cars that I'd drive more regularly.

If it IS his only toy car, well, that's boring. He needs to sell it and buy something he can actually drive and enjoy.

He has had alot of toys this is his only one at the time...I think he does take it to cruise shows But i would drive it more then he does...On a side note he is a wholesaler for an auto co that buys and sells cars to other dealers he is always in high end cars..such as Porsche,BMW,Mercedes,Ferrais,Lambo's...vettes..you name it he has driven it..He had last week a $115 porsche 4 dr car i forget the name..LOL...So to him he does have alot of toys if you consider driving those cars everyday...LOL.....

Geez a car like that around here would be like finding the holy grail. I wouldn't let you sit in it let alone drive it. Up on jack stands in a temperature controlled, moisture free enviroment it would go. But that's just me.....

You just confirmed what I said. The blower was dealer installed. Prior to 1992, a blower was not a Saleen factory option. There were a very few that were done to customer order, but this car isn't one of them. The only option listed in the registry for this car is the 3.55 rear end.

It does have 3.55's And like i said it has documentaion the the Paxton was an option...I know the Vortech was added in the 90's on the saleen..None the less it doesnt take away from the value at all..Since it has the proof it was added at the dealer not some kid bolted it on...LOL...I think me i would drive it more then he does...But then again i dont own it...

Quite the contrary actually. A 7000 mile Saleen vert is a very desireable car to a Saleen collector. For the sake of arguement, let's say the value of the stock version of the car would be $25,000. If it was one of those rare, custom done, Saleen factory-equipped Vortech cars, it would probably add 25% to the value of the car. Being that the blower was dealer installed, to certain collectors (they being the one's that will pay big bucks for really lo-mile cars) the Paxton would actually detract from the collectibility and the value.

I have a friend that owns a 3,000-mile 91 GT with a dealer-installed sunroof. Same thing. Just because the dealer installed it, doesn't make it "correct".

Don't get me wrong, it's a really nice car. It just didn't "come thru with a paxton sn92 supercharger".

It depends on your purpose for owning the car and what you get the most enjoyment out of, money or cruzing around in an ultra cool vert? I would drive it for a nice weekend or cruise night/show...but i would be a basket case worrying about rock chips and other drivers. lol
