To start, Yes I searched, and still can't fix it.
I have a clutch noise mostly in first and second gear. It goes away
with the clutch depressed. T/O bearing , Right?
Well, I replaced EVERYTHING !!! T/O bearing, pilot bearing, clutch,
bearing retainer, clutch fork, etc... Noise won't go away. I have a steeda
adjustable cable, Firewall adjuster and quadrant. It's that usual
screeching ticking noise. I have been playing with the adjustment
for days now, But nothing seems to work. Everything is super greased.
Please , any help on adjustments or where else to look.
I've had the tranny out twice now and I am super frustrated.
PLEASE HELP !!!

how did your input shaft look? Any pitted areas around the area that the TO bearing or pilot bearing rides? If so take some emry clothe to it and try to buff all the pits and groves out

The input shaft looked great, and no play in it either.
I used a centerforce T/O bearing.
I took my time and looked over everything, so I assume I did a good job.
No issues with getting anything back together. It seemed great
and smooth. The old bearing retainer was a little "wavy" to the touch
but not scored. Even the old bearing looked fine.
This is totally baffeling me.
thanks for the quick replies guys.
Any more suggestions?
Should I pull it again?

I had that problem about two weeks ago and thought throwout bearing for sure. but checked and nothing wrong. Just happened when the engine rpms was low like when I pushed the cluth in the problem went away. Well I just replaced the spark plugs and wires and tighted down the headers and one of those three things helped me. Either a crazy miss or a leak from the headers to the h pipe. Maybe try that?
