Just got back from Waco to try and get hired at Late Model Restoration. Looks like a nice place to work and everyone working there seem to be a good group of guys and have nice Stangs. The Fox ex-cop coupe that has a complete Cobra (4V) drivetrain in the June 07 5.0 mag is from there and that guy also has a 07 GT, alot of nice Cobras too. And look whats on the stores floor, a real 95 Cobra R:nice:
Sorry, I cant seem to get into my photobucket account  so only the thumbnail for now

I really hope I get the job, I am broke and unemployed and this would be a dream job. Get paid to talk about Mustangs all day:banana:

I did not know the 95 had side exhaust? It has rear pipes. The boss said its real and I looked inside, no power acc, no A/C, no radio and no sound deadning. It was locked and they were busy or I would of loved to look under the hood and seen that 351. Hopefully I get the job and can play with that thing! I didnt know they did some truck stuff too, there is a chevy truck cab in there too. The guy sitting at the counter in the back ground has this killer 99 Cobra he converted to live axle and rebuilt the motor with forged pistons and 8.8:1 comp for the Novi 2000 hes puttin in it. I want to get some pics of that one too.

how much you going to be making an hour? or is it salary based?

I really dont know:shrug: Didnt care eaither, I did car sales for years and made over 100K a year but was sick of always being instructed to lie to people. I have a PhD in computer science but hate computers. I have a MECP licence, but no stereo shops around are hireing. I love Mustangs and really like the place so at this point in my life I would wrather be happy with my job than rich from it. Only down side is I might have to start in the wharehouse.

Yeah, everyone I have met over there are nice. The guys all really know their Stangs too. It will be nice haveing thoes contacts when I need help with my Cobra, most of them do their own work and have excellent tool selection.

Sounds cool. And i'm sure you'll get an employee discount on almost everything too.

I worked in the auto parts field for a while, and loved it. Although it was just generic (pep boys, other indy auto parts stores, etc.), working at a place dealing with strictly Mustangs and Mustang parts has gotta be fun.

Good Luck!

Yup, and contacts are so important. They referred me to a guy in Robinson who does gear installs. $200 for a FRPP 4.10 intall last spring, did a great job, no issues since.

Good luck, hope you get the job. :nice: :flag:

oh man, that'd be a cool job, but man, i bet you could make a LOT more money using your PhD!!!

I was making just undr 97K a year on Maui as a laser tech for the LURE dome on Haleakala, and it was a cool job. There is not anything like that out here and I dont want to be a P.C. tech because of the dumb ass questions. Its cool though, if I ever move back to Maui I can go back to the University.

Is that a super computer or something? I know the Air Force has a supercomputer in Maui, that they do a lot of computational fluid dynamics on.

That is at the Kihei Technology Park, also on Maui, dont know if its still the most powerful but it was a few years ago. My father worked for them doing software recognition for smart weapons. On the summit where I worked their are a few domes. LURE used to be a lunar project then in the 90's got a contract with the U.S. Air Force and NASA to do sattelite tracking of 72 different sattelites with a LASER system. I used to sit on the highest point with a RADAR system and binoculars to tell the operator when the sky was clear so he could shoot. The Big Air Force complex was right next door, I am one of the few civilians in the worl to see the Star Wars laser come out of its dome and get run through the paces. That thing is huge, but it has the worlds fastest moving gymbol so it can really move!:flag:
