Statement about new Camaro

Thanks GTO...my WRX will take that as a compliment. Of course, it's more like a HIGH 13 than a low 13. :D
Your welcome.
I miss my camaro :(
Me too, I had an 81, Metallic midnite blue.

Lets give GTO a round of applause :hail2:
*bows*

wow... where was i the first 2 pages of this...

i personally dont know why GM has even bothered making a new camaro... the 98-02 ones still rape the **** out of every 02 and up mustang ive seen around here.

what a ****ing joke the mustang has become. and apparently a good portion of its followers too. bluntly put, the 05+ mustang is the biggest pos out there. you could have 10 superchargers on your mom's girly little 05 GT and i'de still take a WS6 or SS over it, ANY DAY. even the OH SO GODLY 03/04 cobra that all you girls are so quick to hump teh leg of.

You should have stopped at ""98-02 ones still rape the **** out of every 02 and up mustang ive seen around here.""

It doesn't matter the chevy and ford battle wont end until one of them shuts down. Even then though there will still be enough cars left to keep fighting over it.
I hear you. This is one reason why I'm glad the Camaro is coming back, even though I'm not really crazy about what I'm seeing. I'm all about the rivalry but I also happen to be a fan of Camaros. Personally I hated to see it get cancelled. As much as they are my biggest rival, the Camaro is an American classic. I like that the return of the Camaro has sort of re-ignited the fire between Ford and Chevy fans.

I know this topic has strayed way off course but I just thought I would give you guys some comparison pricing of the new challenger (minus dealer mark up).
As I am sure you know the 2008 challengers have come out as SRT8 only models with the 6.1 hemi and stickered for $41,500 but at work today we got our first 2009 challenger and it was a base model with every option but leather and it came with a 3.5 engine. It stickered for $28,000... base price starts at $22,000. I really want to know what a R/T model will price out with a 5.7 hemi six speed, They have a rim that is identical to the old style cragars and a T- handled shift knob.:nice:

The 03/04 termi is bad ass... stock short block can take what.. over 1000hp??
It seems possiable. I will do a search. I know a guy in Dallas with an 03 Sonic Termi that is twin turbod now and he was running 960 rwhp on the stock block. The problem was no traction, ever. He dialed it down to mid 700 rwhp after running it the other way a couple months. I havent seen him in a few months but the car was going strong still. 700 rwhp has to be around 850 at the crank and the car gets driven HARD all the time. Sounds like a stout engine to me :nice:

my boss just scored an awesome 77 black and gold t/a. I am so jealous
T-Tops?

I would love to see these rims! They should make a pistol grip for the manual tranny's! (That's old school Mopar)

Accomplishing all this without ANY interior door panels intact, and without any working electrical components on the inside whatsoever. I can BARELY remember the last F body that DIDN'T fall apart completely. Oh...and you CAN'T forget the fact that ANYTHING you buy for an F body costs an arm and a leg. Not to mention the S10 rear-ends that come with the LS1 package......priceless. :nonono:

Cause the WS6.....is like......the COOLEST car ever.....like OMG! :rlaugh:

Now now Ikey. The 2002 WS6 WAS bad ass looking. And it will blow the snot out of your Subaru & a 2008 GT with it's big ass nostrils. :D

Actually no. :nono:

A stock WRX runs a 14 flat. A stock WS6 runs a 13.7. Also, my WRX isn't stock. I've ran door to door with a WS6.....so I wouldn't bring out the snot just yet. Second of all, I didn't say they weren't FAST....cause they are.

I just said, and I'll have to clarify myself here for the record, they are a nice, fast, piece of CRAP. :flag:

*runs and hides because the greatest car of all time (WS6) is coming*

Well, Ive seen them go "a lot" faster then 13.7, but I think where on the same page. :flag:

I'll just stick with my crappy ol' Fox. No payments, cheap insurance, and I could easily put HALF the amount of cash one of those new Camaros cost into my car and make it run circles around one (if I were that wealthy to begin with, anyway). Plus, I wouldn't feel like I'm riding on a big plastic marshmallow the whole time I'm driving, either, which seems to be the norm for EVERY car made these days. :notnice:

my 99 Z28 ran 12.8 with a whisper lid and a catback. if some schmuck ran 13.7 then he must have been at the top of the world where the air is thin or he was a crappy driver.
