3.73 made me slower?

Go for an 80mm MAF & power pipe. The 75mm TB mite not be the greatest with the stock heads. I know your getting new ones but it's gonna be an over kill rite now.

Just match the opening of the intake, if it is a 75MM opening, go with a 75MM TB. If it's 70mm, go with a 70mm TB ect..

basically you want a smooth transition from TB to intake opening, going to big with for a lip that will catch air, and going to small will create turbulance. Just match it up and your good to go.

hey dizzy, what year is your car, mileage and full setup etc? i put a typhoon intake on my car and absolutely love it. got it on ebay dirt cheap, got a 65mm tb and 76mm mass air w 24lb injectors.

My car is a 1995 GTS 5-speed, i dont have power windows seats leather anything like that basically the 5.0 lx of the 94-95 cars. it has about 106,000 miles on it.

as for parts (3.73 gears, BBK CAI, BBK Shorty headers,315 Nitto 555R on FR-500 17" wheels, as for exhaust i've re done that a few times and now have something i like" 2.5" pipes 2 high flow cats, X-pipe, and from the x it flows right out infront of my rear tires, sounds awesome, the actuall exhaust is a single chamber flow masters, and a new sway bar from summit, Broke before i bought the car.

Going in is Trick flows track heat intake manifold, Accufab 75mm T/B And C&L Mass air flow sensor. All ford proformance put that combo together. I hope its going on by friday.

Stock times were 14.5 and now i run a 13.5. Next mod is going to be heads and a cam, doing it at the same time to save money on labor.

Thanks for keeping with my progress and helping me out along the way. Cant wait to see 12's :)

I asked all ford proformance to set me up with a package, 5 mm's really isnt that much of a diffrence and will not hurt anything. They set that up and so far everything they have suggested has droped my E/T a nice chunk. Keeping 75mm's straight into my new intake wich has a 75 mm inlet sounds good.

Everything is installed now, lack of money means i have to wait untill the 29'th to go to the track but thats alright. Everything seems to be running good and the sound my intake makes now is pretty cool too. Used to be a little induction sound and now its a full on "Wooosh" Ill post track times and anything else i find out about this intake. Also if anyone is going to install one of these themselfs, watch out for bolts breaking. Heating and cooling over and over again made two of mine break and it took them all day to drill them out and re thread everything. Otherwise it looks good and hope it does something to my E/T. Going to have to get used to it though so my first time to the track might not be good ;p

Well this sucks, cant go to the track because they are doing something else and woodburn is also doing something else. Next week I get off work and have to leave for my B-day, So i guess unless it rains out September 12th is when I'll find out what the mods have done. Also getting a short throw shifter before then so i get to test a few new mods at once. Doesnt help anyone reading though but ill try to explain what both mods did for my car in the 1/4. wish there was a track that wasnt so lame around where i live.

I'd have to say besides the rear end gears this has been one of the bigger improvements. Revs faster and throws me back in the seat alot harder now. Just installed the Pro 5.0 shifter. It feels a bit clunky but i noticed as i drove it more it started to "break in" or i just got used to it. Shifts are a bit faster now but im sure will speed up alot more once i get used to it like my old shifter. Both will be tested on the 12th and i hope they take some time off. Sure does feel a whole lot faster but you never know. If anyone is going to install a pro 5.0 make sure you cut the boot right! The instructions they give you are printed in bad quality(The pictures atleast) and makes it hard to understand. I cut it wrong but i was able to fix my mistake. The vibration is gone from the stock shifter wich is nice :D
