Ok im going to use a set of Cast iron GT40's and a Cobra intake...with a 70 mm TB....and im using the stock cam with a set of 1.7 cobra roller rockers anyone run a combo simular to this? How does it run....did you ever take it to the track any times?....Im going to have also a Paxton SN93 blower making 6 psi and a powerpipe that should up the boost a little....Im also converting it to MAF.... using 24# injectors..And an adjustable aeromotive fuel pressure regulator..And a FMU calibrated to the 24# injectors....I hope this should run some decent times...Im also going to be installing a 6 point roll bar and subframes...i hope that help stiffen up the body....also not decided on what gears 3.73's or 4.10's any help would be great....:nice:

i have same exact combo. no boost. i know i gained some hp, but imo the cost and work could've been more worthwhile on some more aggressive heads and a cam. i know my car is 12 second capable. 13's with me driving. but i cant prove it so i'll shut up till i take it to the track.
overall its runs faster than the new stock gt's and i'm happy with that since i have less than 3500 including the car with my fox.....

dont waste time with the cobra/gt40 set up. seriously step up to a set of more aggressive heads and a custom ground cam. you sound like you want to get the most out of this blower and restrictive iron heads with a stock cam are not going to get you there.

I ran P heads, GT40 tubular, 70mm TB, stock cam and 4.10s and went 14.0s on my 93. Keep in mind this is an aod with the stock converter in a GT vert so the launches were killing me and the added weight didn't help either. trap speeds were right at 100mph.

That stock converter must be the problem, my 89gt AOD car ran 14.94 then I started to make changes it finally ran best 13.25 and 104 mph with 3.73`s, 2600 stall, 4r70w gearset, shorty headers, typhoon intake, 70mm tb, 73mm mam,tw heads,1.7 rr, and crower 15511 cam. no traction type tires and 2.5 exaust.
Get a converter and try the 4r70w gears in your aod and it will launch mo better.

That seems super slow even for a gt vert.....

42's would give you room to grow, and you will want more power onve you get used to what youve got

Very true
