Thanks guys, I'd appreciate any info on the subject. I'll do some searching of my own. I wasn't aware these motors had any issues.

As for right now, I just got the car on the road and I'm going for a nice, long drive. :D

OK I can dig that trade big time. :nice:

A few questions and pointers. Is the connection for the intake breather just open? That would cause all kinds of issues. I would pull off that little filter and put the pipe back on on the passenger head. Also on the drivers side head you should put a Steeda oil catcher/filter as it will save the heat exchanger from getting covered in oil.
The 03 tick and 04s not having it is a myth. Lots of BS floated around for a long time about that and really the heads are identical. The big BS statement was if it has a blue stripe then it was the revised head. :bs: Same head. The dreded tick is caused by WOT runs in the upper gears and there being noplace for the coolant to go on the back of the drivers side head. The mod for that used to be a major PITA but now Evenflow had the kit that hooks up on the top of the head. That will get rid of having the potential head tick problem.
Was the fuel system upgraded to Cobra spec? Dual pumps with the baffled tank?
If you want more HP then its gonna cost some money. 470 ish is the peak of efficency for the Eaton. Even ported when you push 500 out of it then its just a real bad heat pump and needs to be rebuilt every 10K miles. Sell the Heaton and get a Whipple or KB and make 100 more HP at the same boost level. Also get the dual FPDM and that allows the pumps to run better and cooler thus supplying more fuel. If you have the stock MAF then ditch it and get a new one. The stocker pegs at 450+ rwhp.

As to looks, I really dig it but some simple mods will make a world of difference. Add a Mach 1 spoiler up front, Mach1 grill delete and a set of 03/04 Terminater headlights. They are smoked instead of chrome and look way better. Also ditch the GT side skirts and replace them with 03/04 Cobra versions. You will be amazed how much wider the car appears with them.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I know the SN cars very well and 03/04 Cobras like the back of my hand ..... *looks at hand* where did that mole come from?

Haha, thanks Josh and Josh. I'm shaving all of the badges tonight, actually. This 35th anniversary **** isn't gonna fly, and the PO put a giant chrome "SUPERCHARGED 4.6 SVT" e-bay emblem on the trunk. I can't wait to stick it under the drag radials and do a burnout on it. :rlaugh:

Wow, sounds like a cool dude. Badges are like bras. Imagine how much better it will look without it.
Bad Larry from Larry's automotive! Hammer down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not that Larry. That's an actual bad Larry. Larry is a bad man. I'm talking good bad larry.

Thanks for the info Bill. :nice: The black plastic tube that originally connected the intake tube to the breather is in the center console. The hole is blocked off with black tape right now, though. I think I'll hook it back up. Where do I get this steeda oil catcher device? It's scary how much of a n00b I am with these cars. Can you also link me to the Evenflow coolant thing?

The car has the complete Cobra fuel system as far as I know, tank and pumps. I also already have the Mach 1 grille delete if you take another look at the pics. I need to look into how much a Whipple or KB is and what I'm going to do as far as mods. I'd be happy with 550/550. I think I'll need to upgrade the supercharger, bigger injectors, MAF and tune.

What is the limit for these motors as far as what the stock internals can handle regarding power levels and boost numbers?

Can you go over my updated mod list on page 1 and give opinions? I think for the time being I'm going to get the exterior of the car looking the way I want it with the termi bumpers and side skirts, and maybe play wth the interior a bit.

Def need a screw type supercharger to hit 550 safely at the wheels.

The engine can handle high 600's as it came from Ford but with a twin screw. The crank is good for 1200+ RWHP, the block is good for 2200 hp, the rods are good for close to 1000 rwhp but the pistons give up around 700 rwhp. They are just a hair too big and the tolerence is too tight to push the HP past that.

Also I know you know how to use a PC so just Google Evenflow cooling mod. :rlaugh:
Leathel Performance will carry everything you could want and they have very good prices. You will need some 60 lb injectors to hit your goals and should be around 90% duty cycle for your current power level but I would bet you $100 you are pegging your MAF after 5500 RPM now in the high gear. Replace that thing.
The Steeda filter is available from Steeda.... duh.

So, two separate people I asked told me that there were no holes in the metal of the front fenders if I remove the lame "35th Anniversary" emblems. I used some Goo Gone and a hair dryer and floss and removed the emblems... and there are holes! GAY! Now I have to replace the emblems I didn't want with different emblems I still don't want.
