Would you drive this or not?

Quite the contrary actually. A 7000 mile Saleen vert is a very desireable car to a Saleen collector. For the sake of arguement, let's say the value of the stock version of the car would be $25,000. If it was one of those rare, custom done, Saleen factory-equipped Vortech cars, it would probably add 25% to the value of the car. Being that the blower was dealer installed, to certain collectors (they being the one's that will pay big bucks for really lo-mile cars) the Paxton would actually detract from the collectibility and the value.

I have a friend that owns a 3,000-mile 91 GT with a dealer-installed sunroof. Same thing. Just because the dealer installed it, doesn't make it "correct".

Don't get me wrong, it's a really nice car. It just didn't "come thru with a paxton sn92 supercharger".

Very true the good thing is He can take the paxton off and it was like it was never there so it isnt something that cant be removed or hacked up the car at all...So thats a good thing anyways....:nice:

Just looked at the pics which I hadnt before. That car is stunning. Put it under glass and guard it with Dobermans. That car will only go up in value the more miles the less value. Just watch Barrett Jackson or Mecum and you can see that the rare low mile cars bring the most $$

I have a friend that has an 89 Saleen convertible....it has 7000 orignal miles on it...It came thru with a paxton sn92 supercharger,3.55 gears,5 spd,,,the car is awesome Ive been bother him to drive the damn thing LOL...so would you guys drive it or do what he does trailer it to shows and once in a blue moon takes it out he has had it 3yrs i think and put only 350 miles on it....:jaw:here are some pics let know what you think?....let me know if the link works there is 40 pics...

My favorite Mustang (in hatch form). :hail2: I'd take it for a spin on weekends but in general I would be more selective about driving it. That said, I'd probably just sell it for something I don't feel the need to pamper.

Me personally... I wouldn't own anything I wouldn't drive. If the value and rarity of a car was in question, I would sell it to finance a gas sucking, turbo charged street beast that scares little old ladies!

:nice::lol:+1 from me- as an old timer, I can say in 89 my LX and I were in my street racing prime, and there weren't no factory blown Fox's or even a kit that was near affordable- Ford was trying to find excuses to cancel the Mustang and sell us Probes instead. I'd drive it with the 'For Sale' signs in the windows, find the highest bidder and be rid of it. The more miles it racks up, the more likely it'll either break(good luck fixing it right) or just get the usual driver wear, and both will just drag it down. Bye bye Saleen.
