Does Your Rear Seat Run The Belts Through Them?

Searched can not find any info. Anyways have 03 cobra seats and want to take my fox rear seats to get the cobra skins on them like some of you guys have done. My seats do not have receptacles in them like these cobras do with the seat belts running through them. But I'm pretty sure some fox mustang do and was wondering the year they switched. So I can find a parts car. Unless they never did and the fox rear seats with cobra skins I see with those "receptacles" built in to them are custom? Thanks

My 93 GT does as well. I have seen the rear seat conversion done, but they actually took the cover off the new edge seat, trimmed the foam to fit, and put the cover back on. Possibly another option for you.

Yup what he said. I've had the seats out of both my old 88 and the 91 and the rear seat mounting is similar but different. If that makes sense. 88 buckles ran in from behind the lower, 91 buckles run through the lower seat.

90-93 rear seats are what you want.

They mount completely different though, so you'll need to find some 90-93 rear seat mount brackets and install them as well.

Thanks Mike you saved me another trip no doubt. Are these brackets the hinge part of the rear top section? That I believe are bolted on? Hope its not the nubs where the bottom seats clip on that has to be welded. Can I just use a bottom seat from a 90-93 and a top section from my 88?

You can use your original top seat backs

These are the bars

They bolt to the body where the seat belts mount and secure the lower cushion.
