In the sun, I'm thinking about painting the middle of the hood like a GT with the accent color and semi-gloss clear. What do y'all think?

Had that gt thing done to the hood of my green convrt with the 5.0 instead of gt. Really looked good for a while, never do that in flat black again though. Can you do it flat without the danger of it getting marked up? Bird poop that didn't get cleaned off right away made a permanent impression.
I'll use a pretty good clearcoat on it. But you know how matte/semi-gloss can be. A bit of a pita to take care of. Though a semi-gloss is easier to deal with than a straight matte finish.

I think the hood idea is a good one, using your trim accent color. At the same time though, it looks so damn good as is... You make it hard to say to paint over anything youve already sprayed!
