I'll say!
Let's give ol droop the flashing light prize for the most attempts to make a point, then not bothering to clean up the overspill:

:banana::banana::banana::banana: Woot! :banana::banana::banana::banana:

You Go Droop! @droopie85gt, Show the rest of them boys how we make a point in Tennessee!;)

Was it just because it was so late (9:55 PM) and you were all groggy from sleep deprivation, or you just wanted to get that said?

What is up with this software? It errors out when I post. I close out reopen, nothing's there...repost, same :poo:. Close out open it up nothing's there....wash rinse repeat.

The BBS software I ran 90-95 didn't do this! Maybe that's it...maybe I should just make ASCII stick figures to make my point and quit using this fancy emoticons.

In the movie Risky Business, Miles tells Joel "Sometimes you just gotta say what the fck,....Make your move."

I like that movie.

This morning I get up, I'm faced with two different scenarios with regard to what I needed to get done.

Scenario #1. Fix, and repaint the basement bedroom.

Or.....

Get the Monster back together.

What was it that that guy on Risky Business said?.......:chin.........

Oh yeah! ................Sometimes you just gotta say what the fck.

I made my move.

The Monster runs.

I changed a few things up,...I had the charge tube powder coated. I installed a PCV system,...I plumbed in my cheap assed adjustable boost control valve..I moved the fidle valve inlet onto the intake and got it off the VB so that maybe it would stop stinkin whistling...I added some braided hoses.....I sent the pump away to get them to stop the damn leaks,...I re-sealed the side cover,......I painted the engine wrinkle black...

And I named the engine.

Not bad for a months work.

And you just gotta know that I have a thing for ford emblems, that cause onlookers to scratch their heads and wonder...

"Hey Jeeter?......Did them Ford boys in Australia make a six cylinder that was fuel injected, turbocharged,..and roller cammed, and ,......Did they call it a Cobra Jet?

If they didn't.....They do now.

Shiny!

That's actually a PCV valve screwed into the elbow.....That way It'll hopefully help suck some of the fumes, and vapor that waft out from under the left front fender...

I put crammed one of the little stainless steel afro balls that @jrichker suggested To help keep the engine from sucking wet oil back in at high vacuum....We'll see how that works this Friday night.

Friday Night starts "First Friday" in Gadsden Al. I hope to make that this Friday. It's about as cool as a cruise-in can get,...The whole downtown shuts down,...Typical attendance is 800-900 cars. All of the local vendors remain open,..several bands,...Big doin's. Hopefully the engine is up to the 100 mile round trip.

Lastly there's this turd....

This thing is about the biggest piece of dog doogers that can pass itself off as a boost controller. The only thing I think that is lower than this thing is a home made version. Under that top knob is a spring and a ball bearing. The side has a tiny little hole drilled into it to allow trapped air pressure to escape when boost pushes the ball off of it's seat and it gets passed to the wastegates. The problem is that locknut. You loosen it, turn the adjusting screw, then tighten the locknut back.

Simple enough right?

It's backed off all of the way right now,..and there is about 1 thread holding the whole mess together. trying to screw the adjusting screw into the controller so that more threads are "biting" loads that spring..So,......In essence it's gonna add something to the WG's almost immediately....gotta be real conservative the first time out with this thing..

I don't need a T.N.M. like that young guy in Houston...

But does it leak?......You gotta be asking yourself that....

Well,....I'm glad you asked...To which I'll simply say...

Nope.

Not yet.

My brother and I have been talking about doing something different. He said A:) Sell your 351w swap crap and let's cram a 2.3 turbo in your 85. or B:) I think I know where a 73ish Duster is sitting that we can probably have if we cut the grass and pull it out. To which I said....and stick a turbo slant 6 in it? He said...hmmm, that's different. Of course we were in New Orleans at a wedding shower for my nephew with an open bar. But who knows...maybe the Monster will have a redneck cousin in TN. Googling on my drive back to Memphis yesterday revealed like your 250, Mopar Aussie style had some performance slant 6 parts.

It was the booze talking....Let me send you a time sheet of all of the custom made parts I have that have no labor prices attached, ( because the labor is free) as well as the stupid australian sourced junk, American sourced transplanted junk like the valvetrain,....and that'll sober your asses right up.

Clearly, I was drunk the day I decided to put a banger in the car in the first place.

Well, 24 years ago we took a completely street legal daily driven Regal , back halved it, put a 455 in it, a cage it and completely gutted it into a drag car in 9 days....really 6 full days and 3 Friday nights from 5 til whenever after work. Drink beer like it was water, get 4 hours of sleep per night.....like they say youth is wasted on the young!

I know the weather's changing here...let it quit raining a couple of days and you'll be shocked what you see out there. Hopefull the Monster v2.0 goes well as does the construction of the new hacienda.

That's the problem...If It does dry up for another couple of weeks,..there'll be a frame there.. They started digging two weeks ago,...Now there's side walls set on footings. As soon as all of that water drains out of the muck they'll back fill that space w/ gravel,..and I'll have a slab. Then,...it'll be ON!.

Is there a basement? I'm not familiar with that building style. All of our stuff is slab on grade
It's a slab home,...They start out digging a perimeter wall trench, fill the bottom w/ cement, stuff some rebar into that while its still wet, block it to slightly above grade, fill the cavities of the cement blocks w/ cement, back fill the middle of the space w/ gravel to 8" below level, and pour the cement into the middle. That creates the slab.

I thought they were all done that way.

Down here when the footer is dug, the rebar is laid in and wire tied together and set on stands that hold the rebar a few inches off the floor of the footer. Corners and door openings have rebar wire tied vertically and then the concrete is poured, stem wall is several blocks high, back filled with dirt, compacted, then wire laided in and slab is poured.
I'm sure mike just oversimplified.
