Don't know what's worse, the extreme detail and awesomeness of the paint work or that you have Snap On tools.

Even when I was mechanic for Chevy back in the day I owned all MAC tools which were fantastic in their own right.

The Snap On truck would show up and I'd go on and cry. I did have some of their speciality tools that MAC didn't make yet.

Sorry, I love tools. Back to the build!

Can't afford either, looking for a project car (94-95) but back in 1989-91 there was a big gap in price in both those brands.

It seems like forever right now Nick.

My whole attitude has changed about how the build goes now though. It’ll take as long as it will take. I want each section to be done the best I can do.

I’ve got ideas for the engine bay that ought to be kind of neat.

I’m thrilled to finally be working on the body though.

I might wait till Monday to bring Booger home. I think this weekend I’m going to give the garage a really good scrubbing and organizing. I mean, not like Scott’s garage, but still, respectable.

Ok, I admit I have a problem.

I was going to prep the hood to put semigloss over the grey.....then I felt the stripe edge......I couldn’t have that.......

So I color sanded the stripe flat with 800 on a block. What the hell, why not block the whole hood down while I’m there?

So it got one more coat of clear, but you can’t feel that stripe now!

A guy at work bought it for me after scratching a charger I just painted.

Believe me, no, that’s not a work on your car beer at all. It’s 12.0%.

That’s a beer you have after working hard all day and want to reflect on the work being over type of beer.
