I WANT A SMOOTHER RIDE IN MY FOX

Koni shocks, maximum motorsports coil overs, CC plates and 250# springs like mike suggested.
I have 275 springs, but if I daily drove it I might have dialed them back 25lbs.
Completely changes the way you hit bumps.
Would the be the best route to the most comfortable daily driving fox ? Or progressive rate springs and Monroe shocks

I've had a few sets of springs over the years.
Seems spring companies tend to lower the ride height then stiffen the hell out of them to get results.

My last set of coil springs where progressive rate saleen springs (made by eibach). When I switched the rears to H&R springs, they were drastically softer.

You know how when you hit any bump, it feels like you hit a 6 inch deep pot hole? With the front coil overs, that was gone.

MM stuff isn't going to come cheap. But rest assured if you follow their advice, buy their products and have rattles or noises, they will help you insure it's fixed. If you go with the cheaper coil overs and CC plates, my money says they rattle.

Mm coils it is then looks like ima start saving

I just went to look at LMR for the price of Bilsteins. Ouch , wtf , You wont come close to getting your money out of them. They are supposed to be the best but.............. I got forty dollar Monroes.

I'm running MM coilovers, bikstien front struts and rear shocks, and h&r rear springs. Worth every penny. No rattles at all from the front coil over setup. My car is the lowest it's ever been and rides great

MM has great advice. Listen to what they say vs slapping any shock and spring combo together. I've run a few of those slapped together combos and the car rode terribly.

It would ride pretty nice. Ultimately it's what do you want. And oem suspension will handle like and oem suspension. I'm not suggesting one is more "better" but it does depend on what you want.

Smooth ride to go grab a coffee on a Sunday AM? Go with nice fresh oem bushings, good shocks and tires rated for comfort

WAnt a sporty ride when blowing off steam on the off ramps in addition to a good ride? That's a different set of recommended parts.

I have 17in fr500 rims i have brand new 275/40/17 nitto nt 555 g2s on the rear and was planning to get a cheaper touring front set of tires and i plan to keep the car around same height def not lower then 1 inch. I like to race around do burnouts and just overall fox around i have 3.55 gears and a 94 tranny feels less aggressive then 3.55 and the 89 t5 i had in there (must have diff gears in tranny) i plan to keep same tranny and put an explorer rear end in there with the rear disk and 31 splines and 5 lug. I have to get a new motor because im loaned whats in it now from my dad and hes expecting it back so im gunna do a mild 351 build and might put an on3 turbo kit on it but thats bassically the whole build im planning for

My car as intended road rough as hell. My wife has a nerv issue and could not ride in it. I went to LMR and got stock 5.0 convertible springs, front and rear made by MOOG. I installed stock ford motorcraft shocks and struts. Ride is great, ride height is same and for me, it is still glued to the road. Just after I installed, I saw a new set of stock springs and shocks on market place, never installed for less than half I paid. No regrets and wife can now ride in car if it ever stops raining.

They should or probably have made threads about wives that wont ride in our cars. My wife hates it and it really pisses me off. Rough and jerky , especially with a standard. Sorry this doesnt belong here.

My wife's never ridden in my car.

In fact, last time I had a passenger in my car was 2002

Full interior, street driven car with all seats. Driving it is just "me" time for me

Tell me if I’m wrong, but I was thinking about going with coil overs but I always heard they pop and make a lot of noise, also heard they don’t last long and that’s why I decided against them.
