Just use an hidden antenna if you want radio but I don’t use it anywayI've seen a couple members welding up the antenna hole. What do you use for an antenna?
All hand sanding. Combination of da and plain old sandpaper. The plastic bumper stripper doesn’t work and the good stuff will eat the urethaneAre you stripping the bumper by sanding only or using a chemical stripper as well ?
Yeah that's what I figured, I recently repainted all of the urethane skirts/bumpers on my 93GT and sanded it all down. All hand sanding. Combination of da and plain old sandpaper. The plastic bumper stripper doesn’t work and the good stuff will eat the urethane
I’ve done it that way for 25 years. As with all bodywork, it is always better the more labor you put in itYeah that's what I figured, I recently repainted all of the urethane skirts/bumpers on my 93GT and sanded it all down.
In hind sight I was wondering if I should have used a chemical stripper, looks like I went the right rout, anyways happy sanding..lol
Just used some sheet metal. Cut to shape and welded in. Then smoothed down and body worked from there. Same way I’ll fill the pass door lockHow did you fill the antenna hole?
Thanks man. The smoother the primer the better the paint. If it sprays rough, it will create a texture that has to be sanded out or it shows when the base is sprayed. Plus when it’s slick and wet, before flashing, you can look for any slight bumps in the panelYou even make primer look good!![]()
