05 VS ME???

Is the 2005 GT 5spd conv. stock gonna kill me????
He said the best he ran in the 1/8th was a 9.2:shrug: Dont know how close to the truth it is. Best I got was a 9.3. and thats the truth

Well we may just find out tonight, I'll keep ya posted.

Our 06 went 8.9 (I believe) in the 1/8th, weighing more than stock (heavier hood) with two people in the car, and close to 2000' elevation. Cars bone stock power wise, and was the first and only pass my dad made. Should be in the mid 8s in the 1/8th (mid 13s) by the end of the year!

I was dissapointed w/ them after driving an 06 5 spd coupe gt. I highway rolled one from 60 to about 105-110 and he only pulled about a 1/2 car length on me, we ran 2x. The first time I got the jump and held him at my door til bout 95 when i let off. They are not that gret, and mine being a vert and holding a coup, your hatch will be alo lighter than his vert and you will probably get him off the line and maybe hold him but eventually i would imagine he would creep by.

If both cars have equal shifting drivers and know where to shift. The 05/06 will win hands down.

They are even quicker than the 99+ and those will win against a stock 5.0L, stock for stock.

He very well could have ran a 9.2, but just know with a capable driver, lower is definetly possible.

I agree with 5spd... as posted before, our 06 wth ONE pass on the driver, a passneger and near 2000' elevation went 13.9 @ about 100 mph... Put this car in decent weather, and a driver who has been behind the wheel more than once and you have a mid 13s car (no passenger and lighter weight) easily!

Well we got rained out on Friday night. It rained before I even got there and he called me and said don't come out because they closed the track. I guess I will get the beating next week or the next.
I was thinking the same as most of ya. Maybe I will get lucky and get a great start and not the same for him.

OK we went last night.
1st race his wife drove the car and I beat her running a 9.4, didnt get her by much though. Then her husband drove the car, I beat him also running a 9.5 I think? 3rd time running I broke loose BIG time:bang: in 1st and never really got going so I went thru 1st and 1/2 of second then let off and coasted thru line with a 10.9:notnice:
Ok 4th run, still spun 1st:bang: not as bad though, but still lost. I ran a 9.6 to his 9.2:owned: . At least I didnt go in talking smack. Figured I wasn't gonna get him. O well it was fun. My r/t was much better this night.
Slips are as followed mine only. Thru the 10.9 slip @ the driver of the 2005

There thats better.

These are actually 4 slips but it bunched them together?
Makes it a little confusing to read.
About the drag radials. I dont go that often. It's scary fun though. Id'e like to keep mine running good, dont wanna damage or dog my engine out. Just was curious to see how I would do.
