I just bought a 99 cobra...it will have ford racing shorty headers, bbk xpipe with no cats, flows, and bbk cold air intake this next week. What can i expect to run in cooler tempetures, around 60 80 degrees? Also how much time can i expect to drop with adding 4.10 gears?

Mid 13's with good traction

My 96 ran 13.54@106 with just 4.10's BBK L/T's H pipe and catback.

My 97 ran 13.99@102 with just 3.73's BBK L/T's X pipe and catback.

Gears are a huge difference.

+1

With traction it will help. I don't recommend shorty headers. For the price and the 5-8 rwhp, the Longtubes are much better, cost about the same and offer 20-25 rwhp gain throughout the powerband.

My 99 ran 13.7@102 bone stock
With gears and exhaust I got it to run 13.4@105 on street tires

My 97 ran 13.8@101
With h pipe, muffler, K&N and shifter I ran 13.6@103 on street tires

20 degree range makes a difference since humidity generally goes up with temp....

My 98 with an OR X pipe and Mac 2.5 cat back with a KN ran 13.70 @ 104....stock gears.

Keep in mind that my car pulled my buddies 99 with exhaust and 3.73's about a half car.

If you have the 'fix' you should run 13.6-13.8 @ 103-104

Another example....my OTHER buddy ran a 12.8@105 with a 96 mystic with 4.10's and weld on flows with no cats.
