The driver side door frame is built ,i have setting place but i have to do the outer wheel tub and the inner rear door post before it can be clamped in place to stay
Both door frames are welded on ,but i have a small bit of welding to do on the inner rear posts . The roof brace is in and the trunk divider is welded to the rear frame work . The rain gutters are next .
You would be surprised how fast they go back together ,everything is new so you dont have to fight with anything .
I did have to brace the passenger door frame to keep it in line though ,first time i ever had to use a brace
Had to pull of for a couple of days . Ready for the rain gutters ,all plug weld holes drilled and the gutters screwed in place .
Now to weld ...and its only 102 out side !!
Ha ,a hot breeze blows through that could roast hot dogs !
Got it welded up ,that was fun in this heat .
The quarters will be next ,maybe this weekend ,but it is supposed to be 107 ,so maybe not !
New sheet metal sitting in place ,with a couple of clamps so the wind doesnt blow it off.
Tomorrow i have to drill the plug weld holes ,fit it all back together again ,with the trunk lid and doors ,to make sure everything has the propper gaps
Drilled the plug weld holes in the quarter and welded them up ,i didnt weld the quarter to the tail panel just yet, but i did set the back window opening and welded that
The roof was next ,dynacorn cut the lip at the front window opening almost 1 /4 inch short but all the openings were good ,i had just enough room for plug welds
The quarters to tail panel were next ,using my new trunk lid and bolting on the end caps i could see i needed to spread the driver quarter out 1/8 inch ,pryed it over and screwed it in place and my trunk lid was a perfect fit so i welded it up .
I just have the wheel lips to the wheel tubs to weld tomorrow , and grind all the welds and patch some grease holes someone cut in the spring towers and this one is ready to roll
