*JJJTTT!!
Now that I have control again,...and I'm not in moldy interior town, (Sorry about that RD)...I'll attempt to go about my typical update procedure.
I gotta get those wheels repainted.
The black is good,...flattened perfectly, and because there were blasted prior to this, there is now that "blasted" texture as opposed to the absolutely glossy finish the wheels had when I started this whole mess. I like that. There is contrast between the texture'd black, and the glossy orange that adds to the color change. I've decided to add a gold pinstripe to the wheels as a segway between the colors. The same gold (if I can find it) that the word CYCLONE is on the decal.
The hood will get this pin stripe as well,........which will probably force me to paint the cowl back to the windshield the same black that is on the hood....(I said "probably" Nick,...
.NOT definitely,...hold off on the gloating until that is fact please.)
Actually,..I didn't just decide that. (the gold accent in the paint scheme) It's been part of the plan since day 1. ( remember I tried to paint the wheels gold in the first place, when they turned out green)
GUILTY!.
I'm guilty of finding something I like and re-doing it. The red car was an absolute plagerism of my real 1969 428 CJ car that I had back in the early 80's.
The drag car of 07 was orange and black too,....Same color orange,....but gloss black.
With...........that..........little........gold pinstripe between the colors. and if you look realll hard,.........there looks to be a little tornado decal behind the front tire.......WTH????
So yeah,.....it's one of those "been there, done that" things for me in a way. The car above is about as straight forward as a color scheme could be though. And save for the mouth in the bumper cover, absolutely as stock appearing as it comes as well.
But the monster ain't no traditional build,...and adding a gold stripe to him will be far from copying the car above. I know that the gold pinstripe works so you go with what you know.
I should be able to do more than that today,..but we'll see. Once the wheels are painted again today, I can't fck with them, so in the end I'll have to find something to do.
What to do,.......What to do......
