Hmmm. Three things.


1. Well its like this Mike....after carefull consideration, you should wait a few months, and then knee a nominated representative in the groin....

Make sure you do it in a Spanish Accent, and say

"200 K, Dr Faulty? Dr Faulty Kneed hammer....."

2. I was watching a blaxploitation movie, the original 1971 film of Shaft, and ya'll have me confused.

A Jack Shaft is usually a small auxiliary or intermediate shaft in machinery, often silver or ferrous metallic.

Detective John Shaft is a phosphor bronze intermediary who finds scum bag linchpins and drags there a$$es out.

But I know Jack Shist about 'merican vernacular Enkrish...

And

3. The BMW 3.0 CSL used the axle shaft as an alternator drive, so some free vaccum could come from free moving energy from some "Motion Shaft"

Of all the online resellers out there, you gotta love the one that offers two day free shipping, even when one of those two days is Saturday, and the other is Sunday.

Look what happened to be in my mailbox at 3pm today.

Why that looks like the aluminum high flow PCV valve you pictured earlier last week Mike...
Matter of fact,...it is.

Now an additional fixture on my HD stepchild catch can....

Now,..all that's left is the drive, and to see how much oil is gonna end up on the underside of my floor.
But not today....not at 5pm...I got a hot woman, Filets, and whiskey to consider....and smelling like a mixture of burnt 93 octane, and crankcase blow by does not make for my best choice in colognes.

But, since I'm on the subject of the underside of my floor,..and in light of the fact that it got it so damn clean ( again)

We'll use these as the "before's" for tomorrow's "after's".

Tomorrow I'll take it out on another series of high gear pulls...that'll mean 3-5 seconds in boost,...pressurizing the hell outta the HDstepchild canister..

I'm betting I come back with the bottom of the car dripping...I've set aside a couple of junk Chinese open ended wrenches to throw across the yard to mark the occasion.:nonono:

The underside of your car looks better than the outside of my car...

It may be because the car shares the garage with the large woodworking project my wife commissioned me to do and all the sawdust created from sanding said project... I have a thick layer of sawdust on my DD and have been hoping for rain to clean it off.

The wife asks me what I want for my birthday....

My 60th birthday....

I told her........" It ain't gonna be cheap".

So I start looking,...building my wish list..

It's down to these three choices...

All three of these gauge sets are made by the same mfg. all three solve my problem and will let me fabricate a pod that will look like two 5" bends similar to what I have now, except that they'll be higher, and more in my line of sight.
They accomodate TS indicators, high beam, even a ck engine, and other fault code.

This ones displaying KPH, but they make it to display MPH as well. chrome bezel isn't good for me.

My personal fav. I really like the offset needles, and the " burnt out" centers..best part, is that they are the cheapest of the three....has kinda a crotchety vibe....a high beam ind. a check engine light, and TS indicators..

Can you picture these things mounted?

Know what a "bird catcher" looks like on a pro-mod?

Turn it around, and put it on my dash. They won't be high enough to block my view ( well,.....most of my view) but at least I won't have to crane around to see the gauges like I do now.

Now,....how to let the wife know it's gonna cost her 600.00 for being married to me when I turn 60.
