You need to stop being so full of sht Mike. I've seen the monster, I know.....
That's cause you're looking at the big picture,...I'm talking about how many times it's taken me to get there.

Who else would do this sht over, and over again?

Only one person I know about.:bang:

Well,.....they didn't scratch the wheels.

However,...I'm still not in love with my concept either. I was hoping that once the tires were mounted I could see the whole idea better than just the wheels.

One side gold striped, one side raw, both sides with Melvin in the middle.

Somethings still wrong here.

Either Melvin ain't workin, the stripe needs to be a different color, or I'm gonna have to paint Melvin black,....cause I think he's part of the problem.

Is there shiny 1/4" pinstripe tape? Do I even want to go there?

I'm not gonna stripe the other wheels till I think about this for a minute,...again,...this would be one of those times again where I would welcome input...

I think the rims on your mini have the right idea.
:hide:
And shiny Melvin still gets my vote :runaway:

I personally like solid black wheels over the accent lip. Always ends up looking a little...I don't have the PC phrase for it so I'll just say cheap.

with that said, I don't dislike it as much on the wheels you did. I think the caps need to be black though. Put one on or against the car and you'll know right away.

It pains me to say it, but what about a brushed/polished/machined lip instead of colored? I usually hate that too, but it might be the trick

Ok,...back from the "other thread",.....

I cant polish the lip,......It isn't the same between the front and rear wheels because of the offset. The front wheel has a flat 1" lip,...and the rear has the traditional rolled lip.

The rear lip is damaged, (and repaired w/ epoxy) and I'm not doing anything over at this point.

Just like the red car that had painted Pony R's,....that eventually got a pair of Billet C/L's, this car will too go that way.

Next year,.......Before I go where ever it is that me and the Monster go.

For now,...150.00 a wheel was "in the budget". despite the fact that they have been painted, and blasted, and re-painted twice.

What I did with the rest of the day, (Besides re-building myself) was attempt to get the interior pieces ready for paint ( Sunday)

I don't remember why I trashed the driver side interior panel. IDK if I cut the thing too big or what when I cut the hole for the intake duct that goes to the heat exchangers or what,..but I had to get a different one from a different car.

And it is a brittle piece of sht. Cracked all over the place with chunks missing. I've had to fiberglass the hell out of it to save it.

But it's close now.

Painted parts will allow me to assemble the interior. Assembling the interior means I get to get the LJK out of storage.....
