Went to the track on saturday for the 1st time ever. My car is a 97 GT with some brand of UD pullies, Mac CAI and a 70mm BBK TB. The best time I was able to get was:

R/T - .492
60' - 2.314
330 - 6.310
1/8 - 9.555
mph - 75.91
1000 - 12.382
1/4 - 14.762
mph - 94.99

Just wondering if this looks right for what my car has done too it and if I can get a better 60' if I might be able to get a little lower?? Tires right are a 255/45/17 Continental Sport Contact that were set around 22-24lbs.

Looks about right. Once you get to launch a little better you can get that 60ft down and pick up a few tenths. Get some gears and your good for some even lower times. Congrats and have fun!!

I'm planning on some 3.73's here hopefully in the next month and that should help with launching. I'm surprised my car doesn't seem much slower then Texas04silverGT in his post for his 1st time going.

His:
r/t: .215
60': 2.144
330: 6.168
1/8: 9.393
mph: 76.86
1000: 12.164
1/4: 14.491
mph: 97.12

mine:
R/T - .492
60' - 2.314
330 - 6.310
1/8 - 9.555
mph - 75.91
1000 - 12.382
1/4 - 14.762
mph - 94.99

It's very addicting and I want to get more out of it now but it all takes $$$ to do that and these cars are not cheap to mod.

Thats what I thought...get the 60 to a 2.0 and you will run 14.4..maybe better. You have a strong running car.

Yeah thats not too bad...you gotta think that our cars are slow without a PI swap. Get some gears like 4:10s and you should run like 14.4 or around there with a decent launch.

Im gonna get to the track within the next week or so and I should run like 14.1-14.3.

Slow but oh well.
