275/50 or 275/60 DR's

What are you going to spin your motor to. At 6500 rpms, with a 4:10 gear a 26" tall tire will get you to about 120. Unless you think you will trap higher than that I would say 28's would hurt you, but if your only spinning the motor to 5500 the 28's may be the better choice. As for the looks, I think a 28' tall DR looks better stuffed into the wheel well.

About 6000, with any smaller tire first gear would be uselss, they look really good when the car is lowered, it looks like its tubbed, it looks tough!

Long story short I now have 15x9 with a 5.5 BS Prostars. What would be a good slick to fit on them? Here's my car. I had 26" MT drag radials last year, 245/50/16's i believe. Can I fit a 28" slick under there with the body kit? The rear end is out right now so I can't test fit anything. Going with a spool and 35 splines with a 5 lug conversion.

Im pretty sure something like a MT 28x9.0 slick would work because their only about 27.5" tall, I think there might be some trimming of the ground effects involved it its a true 28".
