Ok I had aggravated a few by advertising in wrong places(sorry!) BUT my 92 LX sold tonight local and I am overjoyed!!. This week I bought a set of DOOE 70 351W heads already punched to 2.02x1.6 with triple spring and guide plates and hardened seats of course! I found out FAST the stock 90 GT pistons aint gonna fly so by welling the LX I have the cash for a decent engine. I have been researching a little (mostly Muscle Mustangs Mag's) and it is a tough decision between the two. I hear 347 have oil consumption probs and from what I gather a 331 is a true revver and pretty strong and close comparrison to 347. I really dont know who is right. I have always went 302-306 nothing to wild. Other thing to base decision on is I have a GT40 intake port matched to the 70mm BBK thr. body, a C&L 76mm mass air k&N directly on it calibrated for the 30lbs Ford Racing inj. with an adj. fuel reg a 190lph fuel pump full lenght headers offroad exhaust flowmaster 2 1/2 4:10 gears u/d pulleys and a crane HI-6 ignition box. I also plan on a JET chip ASAP and the car is braced with all but a cage. I was shamed for the 30lbs setup when it was to be a 302 but I HOPE the extra cubes will make this stuff NECESSARY!! Well for my first week no one has cussed me too bad I feel at home here guys and could use some hardcore advice trying to build a family/drag pony. Well fellas which would be most bang for buck and be best daily driver and family hauler?
