347 is running now where to begin on the tune?

What does your A/F look like?

I would log a good all around condition driving (stop and go/cruise) and focus on the MAFtransfer first. From what you posted it sounded like you had EA convert the maf to a 30pt. log that and make the needed changes.

Then I would make the changes and get it (maf) dialed in alittle before going to the inj. as the inj. are going to sque things alittle.

A gen starting point is to enter the size of the inj. in (I get them mixed up but if you look at the T4M0 tune you can see what one is closes to the inj size) high or low slope and the other is the inj. size x's 1.2 to get it in the ballpark.

FWIW when I changed from the same high/low that is the j4j1 stock setting I ran into some issues. It worked better if I used the T4M0 slopes/breakpoint over keeping them matchig (j4j1 for both or T4M0 for both). Since with 30's you will prob. need to split them I would sug. running the t4mo and tuning from there.

After that, it may take several diff. datalogs to get it down. I would then start building or looking for a known good offset for 30's.

Remember if your working with the maf...only change the maf, when your working with the inj. or offsets only work with the inj. or offsets. One at a time.

With EA it will help but for WOT your going to need a W/B either your own or a dyno.

I know it is gonna be pretty far off.

IMHO, You wanna load in the true motor size immediately then use the load scaling to get ALL tables in line that use load. Thats what seems to make the most sense to me

As for an order of which area in the tune to do 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc

You are wise to consider it as you could end up doing more work than necessary which it seems you already know or suspect.

IMHO, Clint has a pretty good grasp on tuning and using the Tweecer to do it
however
He is more versed on fox stuff as his personal Stang is a fox

What I really like about Clint is he gives specific info about what he knows
and
I've seen him give basic info about CBAZA and say the info is based on this or that but he has had no specific details about the subject.

Just said that to show I feel his info is trustworthy IMHO.

Clint has addressed the order to tune for the most effeciency on more than one occasion so you will have no prob finding the info over there. I don't remember the exact order ... sorry.

I basically go for a solid CL setup by using k's & lambse before breaking out the wb myself

Let me save you some work here because now you are gonna be forced to get more involved in the custom part of CL self tuning due to the 30's.

Based upon my findings here is a general rule of thumb

The larger the offsets ... the larger the values differ between slopes

I've built pretty good files with small offsets
and
I've done it with large offsets

My currnet file is kinda sorta in between the t4m0 & j4j1

I'd start off with offsets for 30's.

When you start to get the k's to hug the line pretty close ....

Another thing to look for is the k's can look very different when you got no accessories activated as opposed to having some which draw a good bit of currnet to draw down the voltage. Here is where you can kinda fine tune things using the offsets.

Took me a while to find out why every now and then ... the k's would just look goofy and no longer hug the line

Did you set your CID scaler so that its at a 347?

I really wouldnt mess with the inj. timing until you got the slopes and breakpoint down.

I feel I should make clearer what I meant by slopes and j4j1/t4m0.---

I myself have had MUCH better results wiht the j4j1...only setup alittle diff. I found the best results by using the t4m0 "style" of 2 diff. slopes and breakpoint. Leaving the 24/24 and j4j1 breakpoint was ok, but with EA's sugestions to change them I tried the split high/low thing. That was ok for me either was as I am running a 24# inj. since you have a 30 and will more than likely be getting two diff. slope values to enter I thought I would make it a point. Just remember to bring over the breakpoint and change from there on EA's sugestions if using the t4m0 slope setup.

In short keep the slopes and breakpoint either all j4j1 or all t4m0.

Once you get the MAF closer (drive around and log it at diff. loads) idle should improve somewhat. However, idle is alittle specific like WOT as your working in idle tables and stuff (my next process myself is the idle stuff). I would focus more on the MAF then inj. before getting into idle also. Alot of people seem, at least when I was looking on starting that step, to run forced OL when in idle to keep things from drifting with adaptive (and that sounds like your issue)
