Brakes 5-Lug Converted Brakes / Parts - ID Help!

I bought a 92 mustang lx about a week ago still learning about it i know it has a 5 lug swap and disc breaks all the way around. now here is my issue. when the car is off the brake peddle is firm an does move much. when its on and i try and use the breaks it goes right to the floor. does anyone have an idea what is is also if i were to replace the brake rotors and pads what would i look for 94-94 pads and rotors?

I would normally move a thread like this to the Talk Section. This is becoming a more frequent question as these things change hands.

Well, engine off without vacuum the pedal should be hard as a rock. That's typical.

Soft pedal engine on could be any number of things. Step 1 is a pic of front and rear brakes plus the MC/booster showing the lines coming out

94-98 GT/v6 brakes front and rear. Stock booster.

The MC has been changed asi can see the 3-2 port conversion, but hard to see what MC it is. Should be a 94-95 GT/V6 master

Stock master cylinder has three outlet ports on it to the various brakes on the car. The 4-wheel disk MCs have two outlet ports. So a 3-2 conversion kit tees the two front brakes together to connect to one of the outlet ports on the 2 port MC

I'd also check for an adjustable proportioning valve, if someone added it, should be on the passenger side fire wall up top in the brake line.

Look at the stock one too below the MC. There is a Nut/plug on the front (or rear I forgot), if it had a rubber stopper in the middle, it's still original and hasn't been gutted.
If it's solid, likely someone gutted it (which is right)

Finally got around to changing the master and stripped the bleeder screw on the driver side rear caliper compared to the gt caliper in the store and looked wrong can anyone tell me where I would get this one

That is the rear Caliper for any 94-04 mustang.

Only difference is the pads and abutment bracket. But the caliper portion with piston is the same for all years and models

You can use a parts store reman. Some will say ford and some won't. Pretty cheap

Update I installed new master and caliper break is not on the floor but dang near it do i need to bleed them again or could something else be the culprit

WHat MC did you buy?

Are the calipers installed on the correct side? Believe it or not this is common and when they are flipped, it becomes impossible to purge the air out of the top of the caliper

Yes bleed it with the engine off slowly started to get harder and once it was on soft and firm at the bottom they are installed correctly bleeder screw is at the top and solid streem of fluid is coming out. Should i take it to my shop and let them use their fancy vacuums to solve the issue?

I'm not a fan of vacuum bleeding. I have one myself and can never seem to get it as good as doing it the old fashioned way. Still it's hard to say what you are doing (or not doing) that could be causing this. Might be a good idea to get a second set of eyes/hands on it.
