Waaaaaaaaaay back when, I joined both. For whatever reason this place grew on me where that one didn't. When it stopped being supported (after it changed from private hands) it went completely to hell IMO. It actually better now being neglected than it was at the height of lunacy after it was sold.

Fewer bad apples here for sure. That is why Stangnet became my go to, we have a nice little brotherhood here. That and my login was axed over there and it took about a year for it to get opened back up. Aint got time for dat!

It as certainly gone downhill, but wasn't aware of the sale. I always liked this place better too... classifieds seem better over there however.

It's funny you mention the sale though. I live in the Dallas area and we used to have an extremely popular forum called www.dfwstangs.net that got sold to some big company from Canada. They pissed off the members so one of them with access to a backup of the original site bought the name www.dfwmustangs.net and literally almost ALL the members went over there, including the content. The original is a ghost town with no activity and the new one is still active.

I'm also a long time member of the Corral. I think it's the perfect example of how people can be resistant to change, because IMO StangNet has had a nicer website and friendlier UI (thanks to guys like yourself) than the Corral for years now.

Classified ads on Corral have become very slow moving. I post something for sale and after a week it is only bumped down by one or two other ads. Has 100 views, zero replies, even from people who are looking for EXACTLY what I am selling two posts down from mine. Also, don't go into some of the forums, ESPECIALLY the electrical one and ask a question. There is a guy just waiting for your post so he can jump on you and say things like "back probe the circuitry and find the electrical ohm loss divided by the friction of the wire strand and then simply multiply your findings by infinity minus .05. After that report back. If you did not follow that you are obviously not as smart as me and should sell your car. Please visit this post again for more absolutely condescending comments I will make about your "stupid" question"........

I also tried to help you with the IRS search Dave, but here is what happened. I googled "looking for IRS". They must be watching my account because almost immediately a guy calls my cell phone saying he was from THE IRS and I owed $738 dollars in back taxes. He said I was going to go to jail unless I paid him right away through apple i tunes cards. I bought the gift cards to avoid the almost certain jail time I am looking at, but after buying the gift cards I made the mistake of going on Taylor Swifts itunes store and spent half of my gift cards there. Now I am screwed as I am out of money. The guy sounded totally legit.....Last time I try to help you with such sensitive search matter......

It's that way with everything Autoguide buys. They try to make it friendly and neutral so they neuter what made the site great in the first place.

Thanks to a tip from Nick @bird_dog0347 , i will be the proud owner of these three items this saturday.

That's only one Kenny Brown lower control arm for an '03-'04 IRS, but that's ok, a set costs $700. Next to the lca are two Bilstein coilovers for the '03-'04 IRS.

What'd I pay for said beauties? $100!

I wonder if the IRS subframe and control arms should be booger colored as well........hummmmm.........

I actually think that would be cool, even though you dont really see it. I'd leave the coilovers black since they look to be in good shape (and who wants to sand and paint tiny coil springs?), but A arms, cradle, sway bars?

I know exactly who you're talking about. He's one reason I left there among others.

So Matt @FoxMustangLvr caught a post on Corral for me.

A guy in central texas is selling an '03 IRS for $850.

I'm not sure if central Texas means DFW or not. Maybe I can take a look at it this saturday.

If it hasn't sold by the time I get to it, I'll have the snipe bagged! Woohoo! (maybe)

Thanks for the note Matt!
