That's awesome Dave... how long till you have a place for it at the house?

My biggest problem has been my paychecks for the past four months. We had one bodyman quit right after he got his paycheck and another hurt his back.

The hurt guy is just back at work now and we hired three more bodymen and we have the work coming in. So gravy days are coming.

Meaning I'll have money to buy the final things I need. Though I need to catch up on my bills a bit too.

Once money is flowing out the wazoo again, I'm taking it to a buddies body shop. He's going to let me put it all together there and get it running.

Ironically, not having extra money has led me into doing the interior, since it doesn't cost anything for this part. I realize now that I had more to do than I thought.

We're still talking at least a month before it finally gets out of the yard though.

I tell you what, Dave, even if you don't get the ole 6-banger running you have drastically increased the resale value of the car....not that you would sell it but somebody may come along and offer top dollar for it as a roller. That alone would be the biggest pat-on-the-back even if you don't accept top dollar for it if someone ever offered.

Disassembled the center console. The little warning light looks like it's brand new! That cover kept it nice.

I would prefer being warned before I couldn't do anything except walk. Yeah,....Low fuel is better for me I think.
I could add the No fuel light that would come on immediately after it strands me. That would be good.

In reality,..I need more than a light. I need one of those led scrolling boards,..then I could program insults that the car could hurl at me after it dies.

Today I'm sanding down the center console. I have to remove the old dried up plastic so the new paint will have something solid to adhere to. This picture show the bad sun bleaching that needs to be knocked off.

I also have a hairline crack by the rear ash tray that I'll fix sometime today. It's hardly noticeable......now. It will continue to grow and eat up my console if I don't fix it though. I'll repair it similarly to the repair on the driver's side 1/4 trim piece, just on a smaller scale.

Repair day. I started earlier with the center console. I beveled out the crack and used the mesh tape on the backside. Then PBA.

Then decided I would get rid of those speakers from the kick panel, I'll start patching the other one on Monday. You can see I got the patch from a trashed bumper. I'm getting the backside first and will let the PBA harden over the weekend. Then I'll flip it and use more PBA on the front. I'll primer it Tuesday and follow the same procedure I did with the 1/4 trim.

And what the heck, it would only take a couple extra minutes, so I decided to fix the crack in the eb handle trim. I already beveled the crack out.

How hard would it be to cut 'GLX' outta that junk Bumper and glue it to the kick panels?
Basically raised letters on a black panel with that green on the letters. I think it would be subtle but cool

There's no GLX in the bumper. The only place they have them is the GLX emblem on the decklid.

Fairly cool idea, but more work that i want to invest in a place where my feet will be. Screw with me when i bring home the instrument panel next time. Then we'll see.

Thanks Noobz. I was just thinking about the TMI replacement covers. About the same cost though it looks like.

It's more out of what i know, i guess. We just recently got a plastic welder at the shop and i haven't really familiarized myself with it yet.

I have lots of experience with the panel bonding adhesive and know it's durability.

One day I may go screw around with it.

I'm not real sure which ones i'll get in the end. I want to keep the original style seats i have though.

I like the idea of leather and may go that way. Just a bit over a grand for them. Of course this won't be for about a year or so.

On a side not, anyone got any experience with the seat warmers like offered on cj pony parts?

Well crap! I brought home the seat bottom, but i forgot to bring home the rear seat back on friday. So i figured i would take my big ring pliers and get the bottom back on the cushion.

So i start looking where i know the pliers are, damnit, they're not there! I can't find them. I ordered a new set with some new hog rings from LMR. So maybe tuesday or wednesday i'll hook the bottom back together and donthe back at the same time.

My dishwasher decided to die today too, yay! Luckily it turned out to be a fuse.
