Just a couple dirty pics with some updates. Front bumper is basically done. Feels good to see the car with panels , even if they are just sitting there.
Fender extensions are just about done. I replaced the front two due to damage. Sanding inside the scoops is a blast.... they are blocked out and just need a couple spot primes in the edges.
I’ve started on the side skirts. So far I’ve been focusing on getting the MUSTANG GT lettering as clean as possible. This is not an easy task. Hoping to have them in primer this weekend and start blocking.
Doing the side skirts tells me there has been 2+ paint jobs on The car. The factory black single stage. A repaint with black base:clear. Then I think it was shot with some kind of liquid body filler product along with various dent and ding fills over the previous coats, then somekinda sealer with the single stage white on top. I almost wish I would of weighed the car before I started. I read online that a paint job weighs something like 30lbs. I’m curious how much lighter it’ll be.

Strip the door jambs and reprime them.
