Electrical 91 LX 2.3 to 5.0 from 92 ECM confusion

I have a 1991 mustang LX notchback. It had the 2.3 in it which I am swapping for a 5.0. The car is a 91. The 302 motor i purchased came out of a 92. The motor comes with the harness. No ECM. Upon my search I keep being asked which one I require and I don’t know if I am supposed to refer to the car for a code or serial number or to the engine the car came from or how exactly I’m supposed to tell the difference between which one I require

If your just looking for the ECM you need a A9L for a manual or a A9P for a auto. Year doesn't matter as they were all the same. Also make sure you have the correct O2 sensor harness. They are different for the manual and auto.

Yeah I figured what I was in need of the A9L. When I’m speaking to anyone searching for them they are asking for numbers like E9ZF12A650-BA or F3Z..etc etc. Do these numbers identify whether it’s a 4 speed or 5 speed or body types? I.e. convertible vs hatchback or sedan
