Greetings To all,

Can the experts advise me how to change the Oil on a 93 Lx Supercharged Vortex mustang?...Again I have done oil changes but I have not done one on a Vortex, what precautions do i need to take? I have heard stories that "you" must keep the supercharger lubricated. I looked for two days on the forums for HELP but I need not find anything....Many Thanks & Cheers-Anthony Houston Tx

Hrmmm

Is there a oil line running from the driver side block to the supercharger and then a line from the supercharger to the pan? If so, drain the pan, change the filter, add new oil and you're done!

all the oil in the blower will drain into the pan if the car isnt running.

vortech does reccomend taking the oil feed nozzle out of the blower every oil change. and blowing it out with compressed air to prevent it from getting gummed up, but i highly doubt that would ever happen.

Thanks 93-SSP & Fox Fan, for your input...
I did not want to spend another $1.7k for another supercharger, or $950 to rebuild it from Vortex...On another note I plan to take my 93, 511rwhp Pony to the track to see what kind of hell I can raise...LOL,....Do you know where I can purchase a good set of (rear) rims & tires...i.e with Mickey Thompsons...I know for a fact my radials will not hook up...I spin solid up to 3rd gear. (I am new to the forum, so I have not posted pics nor included all the add on's I have done)

No problem, as for the tires and wheels you'll just have to search around for a combo that has the right price for you
