I'm totally new to the SN 95's so kinda lost. Need some info before I begin my next project. Besides the obvious wiring what else would have to be changed out. K member the same? Not sure about fuel lines etc.... Anybody done the swap before and care to point me in the right direction.

Best to find a fox that was t-boned or rolled for a donner. I have a 5.0 mag with this conversion if I find it I will send it to you for the cost of shipping. The mag had every part# and every thing you needed to do for this exact type of thing.

1.Complete 5.0 from a SN95 (makes life easier but I know there are people that have swapped in Fox motors)
2.Bellhousing from a 94-95 5.0, engine plate, flywheel, clutch, PP, and clutch fork from a 5.0
3.Wiring harness, and ECM
4.CCRM (This is the module that mounts on the back of the coolant tank)
5.Throttle cable from a 94-95
6. AC Lines if you have AC
7.Ignition Module and heat sink.
8.Upper radiator hose.
9.Battery cable harness. (in my case I was able to use the one from my V6 with no trouble. I've been told though that depending on the build date of your car that the O2 sensor wiring is different.
10. Transmission harness. (again, I was able to use the one from my V6, and just tied up the unused O2 sensor plugs, but it will depend on your build date of your car, and I dont know where that cutoff is.)
11.Cold air intake
12.motor mounts.

Good luck, mine went pretty smooth.

Sell it and buy one with a 5.0 in it already.

Tried for a year and a half to justify doing the swap until taking everyone elses advice...but I guess if you have a lot of time to put in and a lot of money to spend...go nuts

Don't have the car yet but was thinking about picking one up if I can't find a GT chassis. Just wanted to see what I was getting into before I jump into this. I was going the use the motor, trans , etc.. out of my Fox. My fox is more of a 1/4 mile car and that's not what I'm looking for anymore. I figure take the drivetrain and move it into something newer that handles better, is more comfortable, looks newer, and has working A/C.

Do you know what particular issue it was In? I have all the 5.0 mags stockpiled so I might already have it.

Dont forget ur gonna have to get The computer custom tuned because the 94-95 stangs were worse to mods the the speeddensity ones before... Also the brackets for the accessories are different..

It's a 5.0 and super fords (I think that's what they call it) it's a few years old if I find it I'll tell you the date on it. I remember the cover was yellow. It said right on it
no replacement for displacement
6-8 swap
4-8 swap
and 5.0-351 swap (I think that's how it went)

I had about 10 hours total in it. If I had it to do again I could probably do it in about 6. As far as being expensive, not really. I picked up a nice Black V6 car for $2000. I got a complete engine for $450 (with throttle cable, and AC Lines), harness for $75, Computer for $75, ign. module new was 55, bellhousing was 100, and rear end was $250 but its not in yet, $50 for the CCRM, CAI $50, and like $12 for the radiator hose.

$3107.00 if you dont have an old flywheel lying around figure that and a decent clutch would put you about $3500.00 including the car. You'd be hard pressed to find a NICE 94-95 GT for that kind of money, believe me I looked for over a year. Not too shabby for a weekends work. It just wasn't worth the extra $1000 to $3000 to me for it to say GT on the car.

Thanks guys I appreciate the help. If I find a legit chassis I'll be definetly talking with you guys.

Buy one with a 5.0 or bigger it is to much of a pain I think. Started one with a friend and 3 weeks later the car was taken away from us because the title never came to the dealership. Sucks cause my friend was left with a lot of 5.0 parts and no car. But I think it would be less a hassle just to find a gt you can get them pretty cheap now.

NOt to be a smart @$$ but its not a pain if you know what your doing. Its a direct plug and play swap. I can do them from start to finish in 4 hours and thats including an 8.8 swap also.

Danny

For me it was a pain in the ass, I guess just because it was the first time. We didn't have all the parts at the same time nor the tools. I bet it is easy if you have all the tools, parts, and space. Bill

What the in the sweet **** are you talking about?

I think you're very confused and should probably refrain from future comment on this issue. :)
