94 with a SC and Vortech cooler on Speed TV

That was PATHETIC! When he fumbled on giving them the HP numbers and said "ummm...500" I knew it was going to be bad and that he was blowing smoke out of his ass. I can't believe it was that slow. :(

I still can't figure out how he got the intercooler on there though as I know people personally that have tried it and said that there was absolutely no way to make it work.

From what I could tell from the video it had a Fox TB and some sort of blue 90 elbow and a striate discharge blower

I bet he was on the stock converter and a bad tune. Even with stock gt heads he should have been in the mid 12s easy

Saw that last night as well Show called Pass Time on the Speed Channel, I just shook my head :nonono: That guy cant frigging drive regardless of what the real HP level of that Cobra is. His first mistake is not only using Nittos but not burning them long enough, you have to roast those awhile to get them to stick.

stupid speed channel going way too fast over the engine. you can't see it good enough. i would absolutely love to know how he put that in there. that is one pathetic driver. perfect case of a car being up to snuff but the driver not knowing how to use it.

he HAD to have dogged it at the end. if he was pushing 500 at the wheels even with not getting a good launch he should have trapped in the high 110s.

I would argue that he DIDN'T make it work. :rlaugh:

Of "tires, tune and technique", there was only one thing he was missing....all of it! :bs:

Is he a "lurker" on Stangnet? I'll bet the guys here could have helped him out.

I really like the show, though. ;)

"I didn't know it was runnin', that's what scares me about my 11.40".

Hah.

I'm thinking he just has whatever a Vortech "MaxFlow" Powercooler is. He says he has a supercharger intercooler... not a supercharger WITH an intercooler :rlaugh:

The alternator is in the stock location so he definitely isn't supercharged with a Vortech, and I'm sure anything else.

EDIT: It's supposed to be an air to water cooling system capable of up to 100 horsepower? It also looked like he had a Trick Flow intake on there?

haha wow... this is funny, i was planning to start a thread on this after watching it pass time the other day. As soon as the guy said 500 hp on the "good ol' ford stock 302" I knew he was full of it.. a supercharged stock longblock would never net 500 rwhp.. and even if it did, that block would blow ;)
people like this make me angry.. it soils the mustang reputation :nonono: still, should have been an easy 12 sec as-is

Friends 91 GT hit 510 RWHP on the dyno. Trick flow heads, GT-40 Intake, Vortech S Trim other supporting mods.

He said supercharger w/ an Intercooler in the video though  Either way hes one crappy driver

heads/intake/supporting mods does not equal stock longblock

500 figures are attainable no doubt with a few extra mods, but not with just a blower on the stock longblock
