I aspire to be! The gauges are a before picture, they faded into that yellowish color and I will be painting them back to orange

Rough draft of clock with clear plastic and an overlay of one sheet of blue cellophane. Just using this as a test piece to see if it shines blue

And here’s the gauges in the car. Waiting on one of my clips to dry onto the bezel to finish it off.

after.. not too happy with the color match. It’s not awful but it’s more of a greenish brown then the orange brown that saddle is in my car. Will have it in the car tonight

Just some pictures of my dads bone stock 94 that finally came out the garage and mine. It made me happy because it shows that my goal is working pretty well. Even though I have an entire list of mods done to the car, from the outside they’re not all that different. Our neighbors did a double take walking by. It’s exactly what I wanted, stockish looking but you know, better

I find it cool how the top lines up with the windshield header on that year.No leaks??? Cause it sure looks like it could.

Surprising it doesn’t leak from the windshield. My door weatherstripping is bad so a little water drips into my door cup but not bad at all

General karthief

wonder how much it would cost to ship you a pair

Sure do! In fact we started the vette for the first time in 8 years. She started right up. We got a built 350 for it that will be going in shortly. The Buick is back to building boost and she’s an animal, going to get a drag pack for her soon. Since you last came we also got a 70 Chevelle, that’s on track to get a 454

Revisted my steering slop issue. I checked the shaft and there was no play. Now I’m down to tie rod ends and the rack. Will have to inspect both and finally put an end to it and enjoy some direct sporty steering. Car handles amazing but the steering really detracts from the experience.

Finally found my knocking issue that I detailed earlier. Basically when starting moving sometimes and shifting from 1-2 and 2-3 if I’m not perfectly smooth on the clutch there was a metallic knock sound from under the car. It would also knock in third gear, low rpm if you tap the gas. Basically any changes of torque down low would make the sound, but I always thought it was the air tube running to the cats that was detached. However I pulled that entire pipe out and the noise was still there. While changing my oil I went under and shook the exhaust and everything to see if anything was loose. Come to find it was my driveshaft. There’s some rotational play in it that makes the same knocking sound. I’m not sure if the play is coming from the trans or the rearend but there is play somewhere and when the torque changes, the driveshaft sort of has backlash and makes that knocking noise. I am stuck as to what to do next, either way it’s going to be a detailed breakdown to fix. My guess is theres too much play in my rearend allowing the driveshaft to rotate after the fact. Backlash I believe being the term.
