Aerostar driveline questions

Will a alumn driveline from a areostar work in our fox stangs? someone told me one would. if so or not why wont it work in a stang? also what year do of areostar do i need to look for? peace

From what I've heard it is only the from the aerostars with AWD and you have to use a different yoke, I'm sure if you search here you can find the part number or someone else will chime in

but i could reuse my yoke tho right? whats diffrent about the yokes the spline of them? peace

you can use the 2wd one if you want to pay to have it shortened. The one i used the input shaft was fine but i had to change the rear u joint an use the mustang rear flange.

I've got one, just haven't installed it yet. Anyone know just how much power you can put thru one?

probally no extra power, just alot smoother drive.

Well if the areostar d/l are built as stout as the FRPP alumn ones then i know atleast 300 H.P and 338TQ. peace

just based on weight . . . they seem pretty weak.

The best factory/junkyard available aluminum driveshaft is the one out of the Mark VIIIs . . . but those will have to be shortened.
