afr 185cc heads

I have a set of afr 185cc heads and the springs that come with them are only good to .550 lift. i have a comp cam with .570 lift, does anybody know what springs i should get and where....i dont want to grind the heads either

best bet would be to phone arf's tech line and ask them.

www.flowtechinduction.com he's a custom cam grinder and his other job is being "the man" when it comes to valvetrain stuff

I bought the AFR upgraded springs. I would contact Ed C cuz I had to have the spring pockets cut to get the AFR's to fit. However I only paid 50 bucks for the springs and retainers and then sold the factory AFR springs on ebay for 40 bucks. 10 bucks in upgraded springs...

Not sure what springs I have on my 185's but they are......

running .579 lift and they have 145lbs seat pressure

125 is stock if i remember right.

do you have the cam card for the camshaft? it should give a recommended spring, pressure, installed height, load, all that. or call comp cams directly and ask them, that would be the best thing you could do.

ok well we are discussing afr 185 heads i have a set with a set of blue racer rrs does anybody happen to know about what is the common size push rod to use with these heads.

your gunna have to get an adjustable pushrod to check get correct length
