I have a 2000 saleen speedster and was wondering how much "RHWP" they make on the dyno. I've searched but everyone has only posted there S281-sc only and not the speedster. I'm just interested to see how much rwhp they put down stock. If anybody can help or direct me in the correct path i would appreciate it alot. Thanks in advance

if you're driving an s281 i would imagine that you're putting down what a stock GT does for rwhp. (265bhp * 15% powertrain loss = 225.25rwhp.) i may be wrong on the options for the base 281 but i don't think it's got anything done to it on the motor.

Actually it's not 265bhp it's actually 285bhp for my year. I mean it's only 20 more horsepower but i just wanted to know if anybody has dynoed there s281 stock.

I had mine dyno'd before i added the Vortech to my 2000. Only other thing done to it at that time was the bassani off road X pipe.

It put down 259rwhp and somewhere around 290rwtq.

amazing that with the series II blower most people are only putting down between 308 and 320rwhp. good thing they canned the blower...

I think he was talking about being N/A not SC. BTW those are good number for a N/A.

I went ahead and pulled my dyno sheet out to double check myself, cause those numbers did sound mighty good...but it was 258.9/295.8 rwhp/rwtq.

It made max hp at 5200rpm and max tq at (suprisingly) at 4300

It was dynoed 3 times that day..here are all 3

1st 255.0 / 289.3
2nd 258.3 / 292.0
3rd 258.9 / 295.8

Like i said, thats straight from Saleen, with the added off road X pipe. It now has the Vortech, but the engine is actually out of the car for a re-build with all forged internals, cams, p/p heads, aftercooler, more boost (14lbs), powerpipe, LT headers...hoping for 500rwhp

how conservative is saleen's tune on their blower cars? i was at the dyno the other day and there was a guy in there w/an 01 5sp speedster w/the series 2 blower on it. his car was only making 336rwhp and 357tq after a set of long tubes, o/r x and catback.

he also had the chicane cold air, tb and pulley,as well as the cobra pump. the guy seemed a little let down by the numbers.

That sounds about par for the course. He should be happy. I have read of cars with the same mods, less the headers, make HP in the low 220s.

i was at the shop again today and the same guy was back ordering a kenne bell. he claimed he got drug by a z06 the night before, i believe it. he began questioning my mods today when he saw my dyno numbers today. i told him he should see about 415@the wheels w/a kenne bell 9psi intercooled. does that sound about right to ya'll?

depending on your mods and tune, the KB 1.7 running 9lbs of boost will get you anywhere from 400-460rwhp. i just found a car tonight on another forum with 464rwhp on the KB. i'm looking for 415-430rwhp myself... sucks having to wait forever for a KB.
