Yup he is right. I have one on my 5 speed honda. I would suggest installing a switch in line with it too. Thats what I did. So when I take it in for service. If someone leaves it in gear and accidentally hits the button. It wont start because you need to push the clutch in to start it. But flip the switch and it starts like an automatic. The switch is hidden beneath the dash out of plain view. But just beware if you do hit the remote start and its in gear. Its taking off. All you have to do is hit the button again. It will kill it. I have seen to many people run after their cars. Instead of just hitting the button and waiting for it to stop. My friend had a Monte Carlo SS(auto) the shifter was going out on it. So it wouldnt go all the way in park. We put remote start on his car. He was showing off in front of everybody. Hit the button and the car started backing up. And there he went chasing it. We tried to tell him just hit the button. But he tried to chase it down and get inside and hit the brake. But too late. It hit a tree in his backyard. It cutoff. Cranked back up and did it again. By this time he had dropped the keys in the yard somewhere. So he had to jump in the window and hit the brake pedal with his hand. We still clown him to this day about it. Even though he sold the car two years ago.

The pair of wires coming off of the late model T5s that PoopDawg mentioned above, is what you're looking for. IIRC, the connector on the front is the one that you need. It's been a while since I looked into it but at one time, I had an article on how to wire this thing up. I'd post a diagram for you but I just don't remeber if the internal switch was normall open or normally closed. I "think" it was normally open. The plug is basically useless on our cars and serves no purpose other than to allow the KOER test. On my car, I have this plug jumpered so that the KOER test will ALWAYS run when I go to test it. It has no other effect on the car. Because of this, it's perfect for what you're trying to do.

Here's a pic of the tranny and pigtail harness. Again... I haven't looked at it a while and cannot say with absoulte certaintly whether the harness you see here is the one you need or if it a pigtail from the other plug that you see on the tranny.

Hopefully someone will come along and clear that up for you. If not, let me know. I'll just look underneath my car and come back and let you know.

Yep, it's the harness on the top front of the tranny there.

Put the car in gear. Test for resistance between the two leads on harness. Then put it in neutral. Test resistance. Then connect the ground wire through this harness for the remote start so there is no power when in gear.

Thats the way it works. Once you bypass the neutral safety switch. You dont need the clutch to start the car. Thats why its so important not to leave the car in gear.

It's very simple to wire up the NSS switch on the tranny. It's a 2 wire connector. All you do is take the wire that you currently have connected to the e-brake and splice it into one of the wires on the NSS on the trans. Then just tie the other wire to ground somewhere.

This way, when the trans is in neutral, the switch is closed and its like running that wire directly to ground. When you put it into any gear, the switch is open, and tha car won't start at all.

As mentioned before...

The neutral safety switch does nothing on our cars (manuals) other than take part in activating/deactivating the KOER test.
