Yup he is right. I have one on my 5 speed honda. I would suggest installing a switch in line with it too. Thats what I did. So when I take it in for service. If someone leaves it in gear and accidentally hits the button. It wont start because you need to push the clutch in to start it. But flip the switch and it starts like an automatic. The switch is hidden beneath the dash out of plain view. But just beware if you do hit the remote start and its in gear. Its taking off. All you have to do is hit the button again. It will kill it. I have seen to many people run after their cars. Instead of just hitting the button and waiting for it to stop. My friend had a Monte Carlo SS(auto) the shifter was going out on it. So it wouldnt go all the way in park. We put remote start on his car. He was showing off in front of everybody. Hit the button and the car started backing up. And there he went chasing it. We tried to tell him just hit the button. But he tried to chase it down and get inside and hit the brake. But too late. It hit a tree in his backyard. It cutoff. Cranked back up and did it again. By this time he had dropped the keys in the yard somewhere. So he had to jump in the window and hit the brake pedal with his hand. We still clown him to this day about it. Even though he sold the car two years ago.
