anyone run 15x7 welds in the rear of their fox?

if so what backspacing for 265/50 tires? car will have quadshocks removed. i was going to buy 15x8 but found used local 5 lug draglites with 15x7 and 5.5 bs....thanks in advance.

I used to run 15x8's with 5.5 BS in the rear with 255/60's, but they rubbed on the tailpipes and quadshocks. Now I run 15x7's with 4.5 BS with 255/60's, and they don't rub at all. Only problem is, I want to run some Drag Radials, but I think 7" rims might be too small for Nittos.

I really don't think it's a good idea to put a 10"+ tire on a 7" wheel. If it works for you though, go for it.

Mulch: Do you have any wearing issues? Do the wheels pull the outter edges of the tires up a little bit and cause un-even tire wear? I've read that's what happens. I've heard 275 nittos are comparable in size to 255 BFG's, so it might not be a problem for you if your current setup is doing well.

With the 255/60's, that might not be as much of a problem, but certainly it would be with a 265/50 since there's less sidewall to stretch.

Sounds like too much backspacing for those rims, I'd pass and get what you really want.

Nope, I have zero rubbing or wearing issues with my 255/60's. They wear evenly and they have lasted a good amount of miles. So hopefully I could run the 275 Nitto without problems. Should I go with the 275/60 or the 275/50?

im running 275/50 on my ten holes, they only rub on hard cornering, wear....well they tend to baloon up a bit. but as long as you don't let them break loose your fine. I turned my quads around also to help them fit.
