Im rebuilding my engine the winter and installin the TF top end. As I understand this will put me at 290-300rwhp, with supporting mods. Are 4.10s going to give me trouble, or should I go with the 3.73s?

Thanks in advance

i would think 4.10s would be ideal for that. especially if this is a weekend car.

im doing similiar setup to you and i got my 4.10s installed a few weeks ago.

You will not notice a big difference between 4.10's or 3.73's.

If you see some highway time as JT said, you might want to choose a less aggressive gear.

Well if you drive this daily i would get 3.73's, because even with stock motor and 3.73s, 1st gear ends way too fast, kinda annoying sometimes, with 4.10s i imagine its worse, but if its track or weekend only 4.10s is probably a good bet since with the TF kit you will rev higher

You will shift into 5th gear sooner...and it limits your mph that you can attain with the steeper gears.

Sometimes it best to be conservative instead of liberal.

Better to want more and have less, than have more and want less.

There is no such thing as a perfect gear.

You hit the nail squarely on the head :nice:

Your stock Stang

and

His ... soon to be ... H/C/I Stang

will NOT behave the same with 410's :nono:

This very thread goes to show .............

As the man above from Arkansas said ...................

Ain't no perfect ratio for all :D
