Final numbers:
182.25 hp @4700
232.30 tq @4700

They shut down the run @4700 due to a huge amount of detonation, so I figure I have another 5-8 hp in there when I hit peak power at what, @5300 or so. This is with an auto, and 40 series flows, which may give me back ~2 hp if I take them off...:D So for anyone contemplating the PI intake swap, you can see the results of it from someone who has done it.

Im not sure what I got form my PI intake, but my numbers now is 238hp and 278lb and that is with my auto too. All my mods are in my sig, mine was tuned and a custom Diablo chip burned I got about 18hp form the tune and chip, waiting for the final assembly on a built 4.6 with worked PI heads and comp 278xe cams now to be installed around christmas HO, HO, HO,:SNSign:

doesnt a stock 98 auto dyno at like 180 rwhp? and your torque seems very low as well... theres something fishy with that, can anyone confirm my suspicion?

i think the manuals 98 dyno at 180hp, his is an auto so he would have been a bit less. also like he said, he couldnt even hit peak hp range so there is more in the car then what is shown.

my car dyno'd at 178 and 240 stock auto..
a friends 5 sp spun 195 and 245 on the same dyno same day. I bet you have atleast 15 more HP in that car. 4700 rpm is where the PI starts to smoke the NPI.

yeah my car starts to pull like mad past 4000.. it definitely makes putting the intake on worth the effort, i just wish i could have done the whole swap at once :(

Your numbers may be low but all these dynos are all slightly different. I was at the dyno this past weekend and all I got was 200 rwhp with PI cams and PI intake but I have a stick. I wasn't too happy with those #'s but what the heck. You shouldn't have detonation so you should fix that first. You should clean your MAS and change your filter or try a CAI. I strongly recommend the PI cams since you'll be able to tach out to 5500+ and they are cheap and simple to install. Mine sounded smooth throughout the whole rpm range with the stock tune.

some of you guys are forgetting the '98s had a slight power bump. given that the op's numbers do seem low. when i first got my car (and the only time i've had it dynoed) with just a k/n i made roughly 197-200rwhp.

Nice catch! :nice: In 1998, a GT came with 2.73s for 5 speeds, 3.08's with automatics. The optional gear you could order was 3.27s.
Yeah seriously, it's documented by Ford themselves yet people are claiming 2.73's

I had the lowest grade 98 GT model with the only option of an auto, had 3.08's.
