bama chips or brenspeed

i'm going to be ordering a tuner within the next few days, and i'm not sure who i should get to tune it, i am 99% sure i'm gunna go with an SCT, just not sure if i'd benifit more from either. who in your opinion is the better tuner?

For my car, it was Bamachips. My Bamachips 93 Race tune gave me about .3 in the 1/4 better than the Brenspeed tune. Every car is different, and both tuners are great. My advice is to try both and see which one works better for your car. Get your tuner and tunes from one, then purchase an additional tune from the other one.

I did the same ... I got one from brenspeed , then another from bamachips.. BOTH AMAZING tuners... i use them both ! So its all in what you want....good luck !

Of those 2, I would recommend Bamachips. I have read more negative about Brenspeed than Bamachips. I know that Brenspeed has had quite a few issues with tuning Whipple SC'd S197's and has needed the assistance of JDM...

I love my Bama 91 race tune........I drive it daily as such. Have no experience with Brenspeed, so I can't comment on them

ordered the sct x3 with bama chips 93 octane tunes, performance, torque and race. i can't wait to test them out . i've run nothing but 93 the whole time i've had the car, so now i have a even better reason to. anyone know any ideas on how long they take for tuning it and shipping them out? i am hoping i can get it before christmas. we shall see though.

I've had multiple tunes from both for an 07 Auto and an 09 Manual. For the auto, BamaChips all the way. I found both of them to make a good tune for the manual...

still waiting on the tuner, so i have a couple things i'm wondering about.

can i adjust the rev limiter myself? if not what does bamachips set the rev limiter to?

and can i adjust for tire size and rim size myself?

i ordered the SCT x3 with race, performance, and torque tunes, 93 octane.

I was wondering the same thing. After you have received the tune and installed it, can you still make changes with the handheld once it's loaded in the computer.

Yes, there are many end user adjustable settings, including rev limiter(s), tire revs per mile, and rear end gear ratio. Bamachips sets the rev limiter around 6800.

alright cool. because i read something about not being able to touch the tunes without the tuner sending you the files, but i could of sworn on the sct you could adjust on board. alright thanks
