No problem glad you like them!
I can't PM ya any info on them because I have YET to figure out the model number of them.
They are ARE 17" rims, thats all I know on that. They come in 15, 16 and 17.

oh man, that sucks! i'd sell my soul for a 17" set of those... i can't even find an ARE website? what's up with that? did they go out of business or something? a search for ARE Wheels only yields a bunch of links to American Racing rims...

Very cool car. I almost get tired of seeing police-duty SSPs. The few SSPs that saw service outside of law enforcement are my favorite. I once saw a SSP used by the Navy to help land spy planes... Very cool.

OK lets see a show of hands...How many of you checked out this thread and went directly to the classified section. Clicked on 79-86 cars for sale and started trolling? My hand is in the air and hooting like Horshack.."OOH OOH OOH Mr Carter"

ARE is American Racing Equipment, aka American Racing

They just don't make those mesh's anymore.

We aquired this car in the spring and currently have it torn down in the garage right now. This thread gets me revved up to keep going, I'm installing new floor pans right now, I'll try to get Julie to get some pics of my progress, it's gonna be a challenge. We have two new doors, one new quarter and various other parts to keep things moving.

It was actually the Air Force. They used them to help U-2's land.

Here's a cool article about how they were used.

It's an 84, with an original 5.0. Might be one of the rarest fox's out there.

My friend owned it (that picture was taken by him when he had it) and it was a great platform to begin a project. I wish I could have taken it off his hands.

Trbofox owning it means it will be something amazing when done though!
