Best alarm for mustangs

What do you guys suggest. I want something that will go off even if the car is touched. The local guy here sells excalibur does anyone know of its quality. Oh and before anyone sais that alarms are useless I already made up my mind so please don't make any comments. Thankyou

I have a compustar system. It has a 2 way pager that alerts me when someone messes with my stang. It usually works up to about 3/4-1 mile away, but claims range up t0 1.25 miles. It also has a 2 stage adjustable shock sensor. This system sells for about $799 installed but I payed $132! Cliffords are great alarms, but very pricey. If you want your alarm to go off if barely touched, then you will need a 2 stage shock sensor. But if it is set too sensitive (how you want it) you will have about a dozen or more false alarms a day. Vibration actually sets them off so any big trucks, loud noises, etc will set it off. Dei makes nice systems too (Viper, Python etc.)

ford works fine for me, but do get a lojack installed.. http://www.lojack.com/
i've also heard alot of good about cliffords...
:bs:
Don't get crap LoJack, get ForceTracker.
http://forcetracker.org

LoJack is illegal in like 60% of the country so if your car is driven from MA to NH, your car can't be traced.
Here's a LoJack coverage map. It's pathetic.

I got ForceTracker when I moved to MA for school. Cost $800 installed I think for 3 years coverage. Then every 3 years I guess they bill $30 for another 3 years. Tell your insurance company that you have it, they give you an insurance break which in itself pays for the ForceTracker after a few years. If your car isn't in a steel box, they'll find your car.

I have a cliford solaris and its a POS. Dont buy them please!

Besides they have been bought out by viper.

I would just get a Boomerang II installed. No matter what you will get your car back if its stolen.

I love people with sensitive alarms, I set one off with my bass when we were practicing once :D
The local BestBuy has garage parking. One of the car audio installers has a rice rocket with a sensitive vibration/proximity alarm or whatever. When I start my car, his car will beep in warning no matter how far away it is. When I drive, it sets it off. :rlaugh:

It's a piece of crap early 90's Honda Accord too. No one is going to jack his dumb car but he has that dumb alarm. :nonono: I go there to set it off just for the sheer fun.

Some kind of FCC laws restrict it or something, I'm not positive. Look at the coverage area, it sucks. It covers 80% of MA, but if your car is driven to NH, BYE BYE CAR! Oh, I live 15 minutes from the NH border. Go there all the time.

Holy crap that is a lot of money. I want one cause my car was keyed over a girl I never even mets ex boyfriend who I have never even met, having a crush on me. AINT THAT SOME $hit. I just want it to make some noise so I know if it is being tampered with outside of my apartment.
