Don't overreact man. Find another running stock shortblock for less than $500 and throw everything you're already got back together on it. Then drive it for years again.
Me to. Just over 6 thou for a short block and rebuilding the heads! But my wifes dad used to race in circles so she is very understanding of what it cots to build things like this. Found a good one this time aroundWell, buddy... You and I have been the way of the massively expensive over-build. It's amazing that the lesson learned, despite the fact that people look at what we've built with awe, is that cheap and simple is more fun than stupid power with stupid expense.
That said, it's too late for me to turn around. So I'm going to keep building until I finish the car. At least I can say that the motor build is finished.
