i bought my first mods for the cobra today. ordered an mgw shifter, some mufflers, and a jlt rai.

this car is alot of fun. even without modding it, i got that feeling like i just started driving again next time around im ordering the irs brace, any other suggestions from here?

pulley will most likely come in the summer time. until then, im not too sure.

have a good weekend guys, just bored on my lunch break.

The MGW is sweet and you'll love it. The JLT RAI is a great CAI too. What made you decide to change just the mufflers and not a whole cat-back? The stock exhaust pipes neck down pretty good just prior to entering the stock muffler. Bumping the whole cat-back piping to 2.5 inches really does make a big difference on this car... you might want to reconsider just swapping out the muffler unless you're really on a strict budget or something...

nah not really on a strict budget. i just wanted some sound from the car.

i went with the flowmaster super delta 40's. supposed to be like delta flows (no interior noise) and super 40 sounding outside. if i dont like them, i will go with a catback.

i didnt want to spend 500+ on a new catback though, i was looking used (300ish) when i shopped, so i guess it was somewhat budget based.

good to know on jlt. i saw alot of people switching to them and liked the enclosed filter with the rai.

You know.... Right here on Stangnet you can get a Magnaflow exhaust from Partshopper and they will MEET or BEAT anybody elses advertised price.

Just a thought...

Well I have no significant drone with my setup, but it consists of more than just a Magnaflow CB. I also have a Magnaflow catted X-pipe and a set of JBA shorties.

Here's what the combo sounds like from the outside:

I have a sound clip on the PC at home of the sound from inside the car too. Let me know if you want to hear that one too...

sounds good.

id love to hear it inside also. do you happen to have any with just the catback on inside the car? im sure the headers/midpipe added a bit of noise over the base catback.

thanks. those are the sound clips ive not been able to find.

The MP3 I have at home was with just the Magnaflow C/B & X-pipe. I was able to get in on a group purchase way back in '02 and got the cat-back and x-pipe for $790 total.

I'll post up that MP3 before the day is through.

They need to have more diverse products. I checked them for my wheels and didn't have what I was looking for, same with suspension, clutch and Nitrous.

If you want a deal on a Magnaflow catback, check with Complete Exhaust. Just picked one up for $350. Let them know you are on the SVT Forum.

Tell Partshopper what Complete Exhaust is selling them for and they will MATCH or BEAT the price!

They are advertized for $499 on the site. You have to ask for the special, so that might not work. The guy's at complete gave great service, for that price, why not give them the business?

I thought for a while about your answer and from my perspective I'd still buy from Complete because they were willing to step up and make the price available without waiting for someone else to do it. I understand the sponsership deal and I appreciate it. I just think that it's fair to reward a business that is willing to step up. If Complete wasn't there making the deal available, you'd still be buying that catback at a higher price from Partshopper.

I buy from a guy because he makes the deals low right off the bat. That is why half of MW's 4.6 tech section buys from him. He doesnt wait to price match, he price breaks right off the bat without us asking.
