i was thinking about purchasing a C&L MAF. even though they are supposed to add some hp, i heard the way they make the power is by leaning out the A/F ratio. so i was gonna buy a Pro-M Optimizer as well b/c i heard this makes the A/F ratio safer. will i get more power from the optimizer? also, can i use it myself, or do i need to be on a dyno to use the Optimizer.
thanks for the help

How about the LM-1 Air/Fuel Ratio Meter at Modular Depot? The meter costs $334.00. You can use the meter to monitor air/fuel ratio, and use the Pro-M Remote Optimizer to adjust the MAF. But, I wonder if the Pro-M optimizer will work with a C & L MAF.

wow, $334 for an A/F ratio meter?? i plan on just getting an A/F ratio guage to moniter it. only $50-$60 at Jeg's :D

Those guages are nothing more than a light show. They have no value at all and only ricers buy those things. Don't waste your money on a worthless guage.

If you were to call all of the largest soley Mustang parts distributors like CJ Pony, they don't even list them. The LM1 is the real deal.

The C&L MAF WILL lean your car out. This is where the HP gains come from. If you only plan to do moderate mods, it should not pose you any problems. but, if you ever choose to have your car tuned, the C&L MAF will be junk.
