can I put these slick on my fox?

i have a Chance to pick of some used slicks for free. not the best cond. but still some good runs on them but they are free.

the size is 15x12x28.5

i want to put them on my stock 88 turbine rims then on my fox.
does anybody know if they will fit.

stang is stock susp. and stock ride hight

Minimum rim width for a 12" slick is 10"

That said, Even if you "made it fit"" Lugging around the additional rotational mass of a 12" of slick when you might only need 9" is actually gonna slow the car down. That, coupled to the fact that at 28.5" the tire's gonna grow at the big end of the track. Grow enough to probably rub against the front leading edge of the quarter panel, and pinched onto a 7/8" rim it'll grow even more.

yeah, I have 28x10's on a 15x8 with 5.5 bs and I had to beat the living tar out of my inner wheel wells and roll my fender lip

what would fit on a turbin rim and not requre any mods
to the weel well?

unless you have a fair amount of power, a 9" slick is more than enough for even a low 12 second car, Not much taller than 26.0 inches or you better get a hammer.

a 9" slick will fit on an 9-8" rim, 7 is the minimum

I had 26x8's on a 10 hole wheel I believe it's the same rim dimensions, ran low 11's with em!
