can I reach 525 RWHP?

you can still get long tubes and up your kb boost to 14 psi. thats the highest for that kit. that would prob. put you at 450rwhp at the least.

then get the built long block. i think you will need both the heads and cams to reach 525rwhp. you might be able to skip the heads if you were to go with super aggressive race cams and still hit your power. i would just do both...as you can see i already did.:D

this might run a bit over 7 grand. those long blocks are damn expensive.

dont feel bad, im planning on having to spend around 10 grand plus install which will be around 2 grand. that is sick. im shooting for 500rwhp as well. im getting novi 2000, vt short block, paxton intercooler, cobra tank and pumps.

i might have to cut some costs and just get the methonol injection. make sure you fuel system can handle this upgrade too. i didnt consider the extra 1000 bucks i have to spend on that. :nonono: i might have to cu cost on that too (gt pump)

its theorhetical with both heads and cams and exhaust... even KB doesnt say they go over 550 with ful bore supporting mods. go all out and maybe a tune by the hand of god (tim at MPH) and you should see it. point of note... i think you will have to step up to 42lb injectors... and you might need to jump to a larger pump as well.

yea there is a ton of supporting/expensive parts that come into play. im finding out about all of them as i try to get this project ready for summer.

i think you will have to step up alot of things to support that type of power.

I'm at 431 before the headers were installed at 11.25 psi. Right now I have a good bit of belt slip evident by all the belt dust. I have seen as much a 14.5 psi but it's inconsistent. I average about 12. When I get an 8 rib setup I hope to average around 15-16. I might also add an electric water pump. I'm trying to see how close I can get to 500 without head, cam or intake work with a Strim.

So you guys think 500 rwhp can be done on pump gas? I am installing a VT shortblock with MPH 2.5 heads and VT stage 2 cams in January. If I can break 500 then I wont have to upgrade to av 2.2 and new hood.

Guys on here with stock heads and cams are putting down a little over 400hp to the wheels with the 1.7L kit. I would imagine that with head work, agressive blower cams and a built shortblock, you can hit 500rwhp. I'm not sure of the limitations of the 1.7 blower though. Just make sure you have the fuel system to support the power.
