Car dying at 4500 rpm!

hey guys, my 94 vert is dying at 4500-5k rpm. I think its a fuel problem because of my stock 19# injectors. It pulls hard until the said RPM then it no longer pulls, it feels like I let off the gas. It doesnt missfire or make any wierd noises, it just looses power. My friend is willing to GIVE me a set of 24# of injectors and a MAF calibrated for the injectors. Will this fix my problem at all? or do you you guys think its something else. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I have a 94 vert with a 6# powerdyne blower, O/R hpipe and flowmasters, and other stuff which doesnt affect this problem. Thanks for your help guys!

pull the plugs make sure they are reading lean, check fuel filter and make sure, could be bad gas, could be alot of things. Because if this isnt right after the install it is more than likely something else not saying that you coulnd't use 24's.

If you got a lotta miles on it the v springs could be tired.

Sounds like classic spark blow-out symptoms. What are your plugs gapped at?

105k miles on it, but an old lady owned it before me so i dont think its too tired. It ran great when i got it from her (100k miles). I just redid the fuel a few days ago. The injectors certianly wont hurt so im gonna install them, and get a local shop to tune and do a custom chip for it.

Like he said spark plugs what are the gapped at also if it wasnt doing that before whatever "fuel" you a couple days ago I would definatley look into that.

I dont know about supercharged but with the bottle I'm runnin 0.035 gap instead of the 0.054 thats stock

you need a MSD box!! sounds like the other guys are right, i had this problem when my first msd box got wet and stopped working.
maybe also check your timing jut to be sure.
are 19# injectors enough for 6#'s of boost? wouldnt you want bigger ones?

just replaced the fuel filter, its not that. Its been dying at the top end since i installed the supercharger. The plugs should be gapped right, anyone know the gap needed for a 6# blower?

That right there tells you its just like Dave told you.

The blower is blowing the spark out at higher rpm.

Close down the gap a good bit and I bet things get better.

btw ...... it's not valve float or it would have been doing the same thing before the blower. I thought I'd just throw that out there ..................
just in case someone says something stupid like that

Can anyone suggest a good sparkplug and what i should gap them at for a 6# blower? ill go and get new ones and install them when i install my injectors.

Being as nobody gave you any info I'll give you what I think I remember was about .035 of an inch.

If you searched the power adder forum I bet you'd find lots of threads about the spark blowing out. That would lead you to closer plug gaps and then you'd have more reliable info than what I gave.

mine did exactly the same thing ,in my case it was the stock upper/lower intake, hit a wall the car would not go anymore even with 9psi put the cobra intake on really opened it up and it runs to 6000 easy.now
