My buddy has an '06 GT and is looking to replace his mid-pipe and axel-backs. However, he needs something with cats, he can't run an O/R pipe. Also, he wants something that has that old muscle car sound and will increase HP.

He heard that x-pipes aren't as good as an H-pipe due to turbulence? So he was looking at an MRT catted H-pipe with SLP loudmouth axels backs. What do you guys think?

Catted pro-chamber should give him a good old-school sound.

Does the pro-chamber come with high-flow cats?

Doesn't MAC also offer the "direct-fit" pro chamber that uses the stock cats?

That's the baby! Do these require cutting/welding of the stock system to install?

Here's the PC5005 catted prochamber, that bolts directly to the stock manifolds w/no cutting required ! If you're unable to locate the PC5005 on the website ? just download their online catalog, by selecting the catalog request tab, followed by complete automotive..Then scroll down to page 49, and you'll locate it there..

Honestly, I am not sure. However, if I had to guess, I'd say yes to the cutting. Just like the FRPP X pipe. Perhaps MAC has a manual for install?

Catted Prochamber and SLP is probably one of the best sounding combos for the 05+ stangs. After that I would say MRT catted H and SLP. To me every chambered muffler I have heard on the S197s doesn’t sound good.

The PC2105 does require cutting/welding of the stock system to install ! However, the PC5005 includes high-flow cats, that bolt directly to the stock manifolds, and do not require any cutting of the stock system whatsoever !

That's kinda what I figured. Which SLP's sound good with the catted ProChamber? I was thinking of using Magnaflow (not the magnapacks) axlebacks. I was also considering the Hooker Aerochambers, but I just read some negative comments about the drone and also some fitment problems.

Sorry to partially hi-jack here, but does anyone happen to know if the hi flow cat prochamber will work with long tube headers? The website doesn't really have any definitive information.

I'd love to run long tubes, a pro chamber with highflow cats, and stock mufflers. Ideally bolt on, with minimal cutting/welding. anyone know if this is possible?
